[Fwd: Re: [Evolution] evo confused when searching message bodies on large folders?]
Is this possibly a problem with dovecot 0.99.10.9? Maybe it's been fixed in a later release? Might it be a security issue? Thanks! -------------- next part -------------- An embedded message was scrubbed... dovecot IMAP misserving problem?
http://togami.com/~warren/archive/2003/evolution-1.4.4-crash.mbox I suspect that dovecot-0.99.10 is misserving this message in some way that is confusing some IMAP clients. This behavior causes evolution-1.4.4 to segfault, and squirrelmail-1.4.1 to be unable to read the message. The same message served by uw-imapd works works fine in both evolution and squirrelmail.

dovecot and evolution
I am using dovecot 0.99.13 and Evolution 2.0.2 on Fedora Core 3. Recently, Ximian stopped being able to access my local INBOX via IMAP, failing with the following error: Error while Opening folder imap://malsyned at localhost/INBOX. Incomplete server response: no information provided for message 1. I got a transcript of the conversation between Evolution and dovecot. The relavent section

Evolution Woes
Somewhat OT as this may not be CentOS/EL-specific. I am seeking help in trying to determine why the combination of my work e-mail server and evolution is usually, but not always, giving the error Error verifying signature Cannot verify message signature: Incorrect message format on signed messages (such as those from Ralph Angenendt and Johnny Hughes), and refusing to

CRASH: mail-cache-fields.c crash - new info, hacked 'solution'
I'm baaaaack. :-) I've managed to implement a suggestion from Hans Morten Kind from this list that seems to have stopped the crashing. However, my hack - commenting out a call to i_unreached() - makes me queasy because I have no idea of the ramifications of it (I don't habitually code, myself). So I wanted to lay it out for y'all in case this is a problem that you feel

Ximian Evolution Issue
Hi This may be a problem with Dovecot and it may be a problem with Evolution, I'm trying to narrow it down. I'm using Evolution 2.0.2 on Fedora Core 3 x86_64 to connect over SSL to Dovecot 0.99.11 on Debian testing (Sarge) on an i686 using Maildir for the mail store. Specifically, when I open a folder with more than a few dozen messages in it I get the following error (with the

FC2 POP3/SMTP Configuration
OK, let me try this again. . . . I'm a newbie to dovecot and a little bit less of a newbie to linux. I am in the process of moving my server from RH9 to FC2. The only obstacle remaining is my email. I run dovecot (v0.99.14) POP3 and sendmail (8.12.11-4.6) with Mozilla (1.4.2 and others), Thunderbird (1.0.2) and Netscape (7.1 on PC's, etc) mail clients - mostly PC's (W2K, WXP).

'Apparently' trouble with name spaces and Sweave...
Ben Bolstad experienced something odd while running R CMD check over a package of ours using r-devel (yesterday's fresh). He tracked down the problem to a vignette calling 'library(MASS)'. Please kindly ignore if this is a known (and temporary) issue. Laurent ----- Forwarded message from Ben Bolstad <bolstad@stat.berkeley.edu> ----- Return-Path:

Junk mail filtering in Evolution
I'm upgrading a few clients to CentOS 4.2. They have been using Evolution 1.x, so this is the first release that will have junk mail filtering. So I've switched from Thunderbird to Evolution on my own desktop tp better support them. I have been dutifully marking the spam and the ham. But the filter has so far not flagged a single email on its own. (I've flagged about a hundred so

Newbie: IE5.5
howdy, i am very new to WINE and have looked around for some docs on howto get IE5.5 running, but can't seem to find anything straight foward. i just installed RH7.2, and am running Ximian GNOME, without a Windows partition. WINE is apparently installed by default with RH7.2. i tried the simple 'archnid' (solitaire) program and seemed to work ok. however, i have the IE5.5 executable,

Dovecot, Outlook Express and new accounts
I have come across a strange situation, involving new accounts. I am running Dovecot 0.99.10-5 on Fedora Core 2. Dovecot is configured to use pam for authentication, and the dovecot pam service is configured to use pam_mkhomedir. When an account is created and the user logs in through SquirrelMail, there is no problem. The standard folders are available - Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items and Trash.

Bug in stepAIC?
Hi, First of all, thanks for the great work on R in general, and MASS in particular. It's been a life saver for me many times. However, I think I've discovered a bug. It seems that, when I use weights during an initial least-squares regression fit, and later try to add terms using stepAIC(), it uses the weights when looking to remove terms, but not when looking to add them:
