similar to: error starting dovecot

I can't seem to find out if dovecot is packaged with RHEL 3.0. It seems redhat makes it hard to find what packages you get when you purchase their RHEL. Does anyone know if dovecot is disributed with Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3.0? I know dovecot is distribured with redhat 9.0 and fedora. Thanks, -- Avery

On the Squirrelmail website I setup in the FAQ a quick install guid on how to get squirrelmail to work with Dovecot. Maybe someone can verify my setup procedure really quick. I just converted my old server running UW/Panda to a Mac Mini Server running Mountain Lion (ML) Server. I'm using the postfix / dovecot setup provided by Apple. My IMAP clients are not showing all my emails. The Mail App on my iPhone and iPad is behaving the worse. I can see the emails that are not showing up in the cur directory. The ML Mail App is stating there are 3854 emails in my INBOX.

Hello everyone, I am testing Dovecot 1.1.3 at the moment to see if I can migrate from UW-Imap(mbox) to Dovecot(maildir). Because I dont' want to influence the production server I installed Dovecot on an ununsed computer with some dummy-testusers using ssl and maildir. hi list, i'm in the process of testing dovecot before a hopeful switchover from uw-imap/qpopper to dovecot, primarily to get off of the uw-imap/mbox combo and moved to Maildir. i think we've worked out the logistics to avoid any service downtime, with only a short window of a few minutes per user for when we convert from mbox to maildir format. however, during testing a few issues have
