RE: Missed config option
I am trying to sync a set of maildir folders from a dovecot server and a different imap server on a different host. Using a perl tool called imapsync.
The tool says the following about the two servers capabilities:
>From capability : IMAP4rev1 SORT THREAD=REFERENCES MULTIAPPEND UNSELECT LITERAL+ IDLE CHILDREN LISTEXT LIST-SUBSCRIBED
To capability : IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE

RE: Locking problem
Running dovecot on Solaris 8 sparc with SylpheedClaws as the MUA.
I tried moving to many messages from a folder to my maildir folder,
which is a local directory on the dovecot server.
Now, I cannot open the folder due to this message:

3454 Abends when transferring files to Mapped Samba Drive
Hi,
We have a Windows 2000 Server setup to be our FTP server. On the FTP
server we have created a MAPPED drive for a AIX 5.1 server using SAMBA..
We are trying to take files from the mainframe (Z/os) to the SAMBA (AIX
5.1) mapped drive on Windows 2000 server.
We get a 3454 abend when we submit a FTP job, but if we submit the job
immediately after the primary 3454 abend the FTP works OK. In

Problem running RTERM via SSH on Windows/2000
I'm having problems getting RTERM to work via SSH.
Whenever it has any type of problem, it abends instead
of issuing an error message and returning to the >
prompt. Both "server" and client are Windows/2000
Professional at FP4. SSH is via Cygwin on both sides.
R is version is 1071.
RTERM runs fine when run in a BASH shell on the

Hello,
I'm currently testing dovecot/imap (Version 0.99.13).

imap-hibernate won't start
I can't get imap-hibernate to fire up.
The process is not starting, and there are no clues in the logs.
I tried several users/groups, but nothing happens (although I see plenty
of IDLE imap-connections).
Even mode 0666 didn't work.
I'm on Slackware (no FreeBSD), built from source with
./configure --with-mysql
My systems runs with a virtual user, and imap-processes are run under

RE: Compile problem
I am a package maintainer for the Solaris community site known as CSW or
blastwave.org. A CSW user requested a dovecot package, so I am attempting to
build the package.
I downloaded 0.99.10.4 earlier this month and it compiles just fine on my test
machine. I went to our CSW build machines to build a version that I can
distribute. I got the latest CVS version and used the same environment

RE: build errors on cvs
Building on Solaris 8 with Sun's compiler, I get the following error.
Would you fix this? Using gcc is not really a good option for me.

windows 10 locking profile files
I am running samba 4.5.1 on Ubuntu 16.04. The samba server is running as an AD DC and stores the user profiles, the clients are all windows 10 professional.
One user reported being locked out of the profile pretty regularly. After investigating the case I saw that a lot of files in the profile are still locked even after logging out and shutting down the system. After restarting the samba server,

RE: imap segv trying to list inbox
(This is releveant information to the one that Alex Moore just posted,
but I'm not subscribed yet so I can't properly reply to that thread.
Sorry for creating a new one.)
I've got a crash in dovecot-imap when trying to list the inbox on a
nonexistant directory. I'm not sure how it should be handled, but
basically it's only happening when the directory in imap's MAIL

IMAP issues?
I've probably done something dumb, but a quick search on Google, etc has
turned up nothing I recognized as useful. I just installed dovecot on an
OpenBSD 3.9 box. It is working fine with secure POP3 (after changing the
config file to "mbox_write_locks = fcntl").
I also selected secure IMAP as a protocol, but it is proving to be more
resistant to working. I am trying to connect

netmask 255.255.255.255 vs ip route add via ... (bug?)
Greetings routing folks,
I want to use the netmask 255.255.255.255 to insulate (not quite
isolate) machines on a shared subnet from each other. This works
just fine on win XP, but Linux iproute will not acccept the
gateway address in one step -- neither on the command line nor
via DHCP:
Here''s the interface, set up with a netmask of /32:
# ip addr

gluster peer probe failing
Hi,
I am able to recreate the issue and here is my RCA.
Maximum value i.e 32767 is being overflowed while doing manipulation on it
and it was previously not taken care properly.
Hence glusterd was crashing with SIGSEGV.
Issue is being fixed with "
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1454418" and being backported
as well.
Thanks

Thanks Gaurav!
1. Any time estimation on to when this fix would be released?
2. Any recommended workaround?
Best,
Guy.

Possible solutions to txtdrive process killing for cpu usage
Hi,
I''ve just deployed a basic ecommerce site on textdrive.com. The
application has been stress tested on our local development machines and
appears to be running fine (no memory leaks).
However, on textdrive the fcgi processes are being killed after just a
few requests apparently because of cpu usage (The log says the processes
exceeds 17% average cpu usage in the last few minutes)
