VOICEMAIL OPTIONS help needed
Hi everyone, We have a particular user on our Asterisk 1.4.x system who always listens to his voicemail messages via email. - Is there some way to send the voicemail ONLY to email and not retain them on the phone? - Alternatively, can the voicemail system only keep, say, just the last 10 messages (as backup in case of email delivery failure or a message getting deleted in email accidentally

Problems in Recommending R
Dear List, One persistent feedback I am getting to people who are newly introduced to R ( especially in this cost cutting recession) is - 1) The website looks a bit old. While the current website does have a lot of hard work behind it, should n't a world class statistics package have a better website instead. You can check out www.knime.org which is an open source software , and free, and

No new daily R-devel tarball since r69202?
Is there any reason that the R-devel tarball at [1] stucks on r69202? It seems, that newer R-devel versions are now published on /pub/misc/cran/src/base-prerelease, for example at http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/cran/, but without an R-devel.tar.gz tarball ... Is this intended? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks and greetings, Rainer Hurling [1]

Tabulating using arbitrary numbers of factors
Dear R-help, First of all, thank you VERY much for any help you have time to offer. I greatly appreciate it. I would like to write a function that, given an arbitrary number of factors from a data frame, tabulates the number of occurrences of each unique combination of the factors. Cleary, this works: > table(horse,date,surface) <SNIP> , , surface = TURF

ATA driver not as good in 4.8 as 4.5?
I have a Lite-On 24102B burner on an Epox 7KXA (VIA 686A southbridge) together with a few SCSI disks. I recently upgraded from FreeBSD 4.5 to 4.7 then almost immediately to 4.8. I've had trouble with the burner since. With FreeBSD 4.5, I used "sysctl hw.atamodes=---,---,dma,---" to set the burner to DMA. Everything then worked fine. As far as I know it was using UDMA33.

Move older messages to Old folder after a bunch of changes (sql + other stuff)
I'm starting to get things better done now. Moved to all virtual users over IMAP. Using a SQL database for users/passwords. Setting up folders working properly with neomutt. Right now, that leaves me with just new mail in the INBOX, and other folders. I have a bunch of old mail in each users Maildirs in their real home folders. Right now, I'd like to move all the old mail into a folder

It would be possible, but I think "entirely" wrong. .subset() is documented to be an internal function not to be used "lightly" and more to the point it is documented to *NOT*

subset() wish: allow "select" for non-dataframes
{Mainly to the author of the subset() function, but RFC to all "R-develers": } Wouldn't it be worth redefining subset.default() such that `anything reasonable' would allow a select argument? Currently, only subset.data.frame() allows a select argument, and hence we can have > (x <- c(a=1, b=3, d= 7:10)) a b d1 d2 d3 d4 1 3 7 8 9 10 >
