Bittorrent RPM/Python Issue
Hi All, tried to install the RPM for bittorrent, and got the following, [root at localhost bittorrent]# rpm -Uvh BitTorrent-4.2.2-1-Python2.3.noarch.rpm error: Failed dependencies: python(abi) = 2.3 is needed by BitTorrent-4.2.2-1.noarch [root at localhost bittorrent]# python -V Python 2.3.4 why is this so, when I have 2.3.4. Is this RPM only compatible with 2.3, not 2.3.1-4? Little confused.

[PATCH v2] file: Normalize errno value for ENODEV
Fix issues Eric found in the original patch: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-July/msg00072.html - When handling ENODEV, the caller is expecting EOPNOTSUPP to trigger fallback. - ENODEV should be ignored in file_trim. Tested only on Fedora 28 and RHEL 7.5. --- plugins/file/file.c | 33 ++++++++++++++++++++++++--------- 1 file changed, 24 insertions(+), 9 deletions(-) diff

ANNOUNCE: cifs-utils release 5.6 is ready for download
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Time for another cifs-utils release! Nothing terribly earth shattering here. Some distros (like Fedora) are moving krb5 credcaches out of /tmp by default. Users of these distros will definitely want to upgrade. Highlights: * Fixes for mounting with '/' in usernames with sec=krb5 * Support for DIR: type krb5 ccaches * support for

[RFC] High-Level Code-Review Documentation Update
Yeah, +1 that people from the same organization are sometimes the only ones working on a certain feature/area. (certainly I'd expect some discussion about the feature in general to be discussed outside that group if it's in any way contentious - but some stuff's clear enough (I think I implemented debug_types years ago, likely with only Eric's approval, both of us being at Google

Crossover cable for E1 ?
I'm looking to connect a BMC 450 to an asterisk with a Digium Quad E1 card. Am I right in thinking that I'll need a special 'crossover-E1' RJ45 cable? If so, any clues where I might buy one in the UK? The Digium card sellers don't seem to stock such a thing. Thanks. Tim. Tim Panton - Web/VoIP consultant and implementor www.westhawk.co.uk

OT: Avoiding harddisk failure due to mobility
Hi All, I need some advice on finding a solution to this problem . I have a hard disk mounted on a mobile robot. I am using ext3 fs. The hard disk is subjected to several bumps as the robot travels. I am experiencing frequent hard disk failure ( about once a month). I have thought about 2 different solutions to this problem. I would appreciate any tips on evaluating them 1) Use Compact Flash

How to? Set boot up display resolution
I have been given a replacement monitor for my CentOS-6.3 KVM test platform. It is an LG E2251 22in letterbox format screen whereas the unit it replaces was a 17" standard format display. The console messages now look as through they were output on Silly Putty. The display itself displays a message to set the resolution to 1920 x 1080. I have found references to using the vga option in

BARK implementation (or specification) error
Hi, In the course of some work which I describe below, I have found a very significant difference between the BARK function described in the Vorbis specification and its implementation in libvorbis. In the specificationhttp://xiph.org/vorbis/doc/Vorbis_I_spec.pdf bark(x) = 13.1arctan(.00074x) + 2.24arctan(.0000000185x**2 + .0001x) In the libvorbis code

winbind - not ready for prime time?
What's the consensus? Should winbind even be considered for production use? Looking back through the archives of the Samba lists, there's a lot of doubt about it. Where people have had problems, there are more often than not no solutions given. When I look at the man page in 3.0.28, there are litterally blank spots awaiting completion, and lack of documentation of sometimes-essential

special language character in a pie chart
Dear List Members, I am working on a below piece of code: Initially have created pie charts with Enlish labels to present the data for Czech Republic, now however I need to print the label with original Czech fonts. When I copy paste from Word, certain fonts get 'simplified' distorting original spelling. How can solve this problem? Is there a package I can download which will support

em(4) + ALTQ broken
I'm having problems getting PF + ALTQ to work on em(4) interfaces under 8.0-RELEASE. Kernel was rebuilt with the additional options necessary for ALTQ and what not. Same basic configuration works fine under 7.2-RELEASE. Basically, the queues create successfully but running a pfctl -vsq shows a zero packet/byte count for all queues, even the interface's root queues. This same problem is

Expression for pedices
I know that this maybe a trivial question. I am not able to plot pedices in graph axes. Instead I am able to plot different math symbols : XLABEL <- expression(paste(cmH,lim(f(x), x %->% 0),"O PEEP")) works well XLABEL <- expression(paste(cmH,[2],"O PEEP")) is considered a wrong expression. Thanks
