dovecot and imap session forwarding
Hi,
I was trying to install a qmail-ldap cluster. I have successfully setup dovecot to authenticate against ldap directory. But what I need is to enable imap session forwarding for qmail-ldap.
For example when a user connects to a imapserver if the real mailhost of this user is different than the one that is connected so session is forwarded to real mailhost. Normally we can do that with

Server settings for a busy server
Hi,
We are migrating from a windows server and i have very few stats as to
what our current concurrent usage stats are other than about 50,000
active users and 90,000 email messages a day inbound 20,000 outbound.
Anyone got some tips for tuning dovecot to handle this load?
Below is my config - do the values of login_process_size etc sound
correct?
Also my logs seem to be written out as root

Suppressing error messages printed in xyplot() with panel function
Hello,
I am using the xyplot() function to create a series of scatterplot
panels with lines of best fit. To draw the lines of best fit for each
panel, I am using a panel function. Here's an example:

simultaneously maximizing two independent log likelihood functions using mle2
Hello,
I have a log likelihood function that I was able to optimize using
mle2. I have two years of the data used to fit the function and I would
like to fit both years simultaneously to test if the model parameter
estimates differ between years, using likelihood ratio tests and AIC.
Can anyone give advice on how to do this?
My likelihood functions are long so I'll use the tadpole

NFS lock contention for dovecot-uidlist
We are in the process of migrating away from Courier-IMAP/POP3 and
Maildrop. I want to use Dovecot (LDA, IMAP, POP3). During my testing, it
has worked great except for dotlocking on the dovecot-uidlist file.
The problem:
When a delivery is being made with deliver and a mail client has the
mailbox open (Thunderbird in this case), neither Thunderbird or deliver
can get a dotlock on the

problem with convergence in mle2/optim function
Hello R Help,
I am trying solve an MLE convergence problem: I would like to estimate
four parameters, p1, p2, mu1, mu2, which relate to the probabilities,
P1, P2, P3, of a multinomial (trinomial) distribution. I am using the
mle2() function and feeding it a time series dataset composed of four
columns: time point, number of successes in category 1, number of
successes in category 2, and

parameters. I am using the ode() function (deSolve package) to run the
numerical simulation and apply() to run the simulation function for each
set of parameter values. I am having trouble getting the apply()
function to work.

Hello,
you can compile opus with "--enable-fixed-point". That saves a cpu
ressources.

persistent generic device for tape changer
I've taken you as far as I can go. ?Now you will have to experiment a
bit for your use case. ?I should point out that at least in my system,
the link with the serial number in it shows up even with the line
commented in the rules file.
As always, YMMV.
