Entourage on Dovecot 09.11, is 1.0-test the answer?
Background:
I'm running a RH9 box with Dovecot 0.99.11. Dovecot was installed using yum and the rpm found on http://dag.wieers.com/packages/dovecot/. With two exceptions I've been enormously happy with Dovecot. I'm even happier having recently successfully installed pop-before-smtp sop one exception down. However the other problem I've experienced is becoming critical.
I've

imap MUA received
Does anyone know where MUAs like Outlook, Entourage, and Mail.app get
their 'Received' or 'Date Received' information from? It certainly doesn't
appear to correspond with the mail headers, at least in my case, so I'm
guessing it's possibly getting that data from the IMAP server?
My mail clients (MUAs) show the 'Receieved' time as 5 hours off.
I have qmail

Entourage X and Sendmail STARTTLS on CentOS 4.4
I have a user who has Mac OS 10.4.8 with Entourage X. The email server
is sendmail 8.13.8 and is setup to use STARTTLS on a CentOS 4.4 system.
It appears from everything I have googled that only Entourage 2004 will
properly function with STARTTLS. Has anybody any experience with
Entourage X ... specifically is there something I am missing regarding
the CentOS server setup or are all Entourage

Dovecot on Mac - Entourage cannot fetch emails
Hi,
Dovecot 1.1.3 is running on Mac OS X 10.5 latest version, with Maildir
(LAYOUT=fs). I have following issues when Entourage 2008 connects it, over
imap/imaps.
Entourage does not cache the mails. After every restart the folder contents
are fetched fresh. I have enabled the Entourage option to get entire
messages. Entourage caches the gmail IMAP folders fine. Also Outlook 2007
does not

entourage pop to dovecot imap migration
I'm beginning to migrate my years of mail stuck in Entourage 2004
(MacOSX) to dovecot imap on Fedora FC4. No matter how I have tried I
cannot get the status flags to migrate. Eg: all the mail, once
transfered from the pop archive to the imap server looses all Status:
and X-Status: flags and ends up being marked "new" on the imap side.
After lots of testing it appears that,

Postfix, Dovecot SASL and Entourage smtps authentication fails.
Tere.
Recently just migrated from Sendmail 8.14.3 to Postfix 2.5.6 and
switched from Cyrus-sasl 2.1.22 to Dovecot 1.1.13 sasl, all are compiled
from source and I have used Dovecot for a long time, since alpha versions.
Everything worked well for Outlook Express, Outlook and Thunderbird
clients, but Microsoft Entourage 2004 or 2008 clients smtps fails -

imap internaldate
I think I found a bug in dovecot which I'm not sure where to fix. (I may
even have found a reference to it in an archived list message from Jul
2003.) Here is the situation:
dovecot (dovecot-0.99.10.4) running with an imap server on an mbox
system is queried by a local client program, like Mail.app, and is
told the "Received" date of the message (presumably sent through

Dovecot authentication not supported in Entourage
Hi Guys,
I recently configured an mail server running postfix + dovecot + mysql +
postfixadmin, everything is running ok except for Mac Entourage clients
which is a PITA IMO, I always get a authentication not supported error while
thunderbird and outlook on windows don't. Any ideas or workaround?
my dovecot version is dovecot-1.0.7-2.el5.
here's the output of dovecot.conf and

dovecot 1.0-test-56 mail doesn't show up with Mac Entourage clients
Hi. I'm seeing some issues where Entourage clients can see new mail,
download it (or partially), but won't display the mail in the mailbox
list. Mail shows up as having arrived, but never displays. These clients
have worked in the past with versions of 0.99, but not in 1.0-test-56.
I have dumped the connection traffic and it looks like Entourage aborts
the IMAP session before it

repairing mbox files
Hi folks,
Is there a good tool for repairing/working with mbox files? I'm trying to get
a user moved off of Entourage (Outlook for Mac). Entourage actually exports
the mail (was pop, will be imap) as mbox files, however, I can't just drop
them in place even after fixing the line-endings. many of the messages with
attachments come up with the correct header info but no message body

habtm doesn''t save old IDs
I''m sure I''m not getting something. I have Users, and I have Groups.
Each User has_and_belongs_to_many :groups and each Group
has_and_belongs_to_many :users.
When I add a user, I want to apply a bunch of groups (like tags) to the
user (manually, without acts_as_taggable).
Here''s User#create:
@user = User.new(params[:user])
@user.groups =

segfault after page view
I realize this is slightly off-topic, but I''m stumped and I hope someone
else has had the same problem.
When running a rails app using webrick (script/server), I can load any
given page which involves a controller once, and any subsequent page
loads trigger a "Segmentation fault" without any other info.
This problem is very new, and has only started occurring since I last

observe_form without ajax?
This betrays my lack of javascript knowledge, but is it possible to
watch a whole form for changes and activate some javascript when those
changes occur without any remote request?
That is, I want to do exactly what observe_form does, but without the
ajax call actually happening. I realize I could use the form_tag
:onchange parameter, but that seems to be incapable of doing things like

Sieve and recipient_delimiter
I use recipient_delimiter addresseses quiet a bit, and I want to put several of them into a mailbox
if anyof (header :contains ["to"] [ ?FOO", ?foo", ?bar", ?florin"]) {

}
When I get an email addressed to me+FOO at example.com or me_florin at example.com, the messages end up in my inbox (Yes, I have both + and _

Comments on planned migration to Dovecot
Our office of about 100 users is presently running its mail through an
Exchange 5.5 Server. The Exchange server is protected by Linux server
pass-through server running Exim4.
We intend to move all of our mail and directory services to open source
software, probably Exim4, Dovecot and OpenLDAP.
We have a mixture of mail clients. These include Mac OS9 Entourage
(about 30%), OSX Entourage (20%)

mboot.c32/Xen compatible
Hello all,
I'm new on the list and hope this question isn't out of order.
I'm booting Xen with mboot.c32 but with 100mb/s cards. I want to
upgrade to 1000mb/s.
I haven't got the biggest budget to trial and error new network cards
so I'd like to buy the right card first time.
I think this can be a bit tricky from 100mb/s card experience. A
