Configure SSL problem
Hi everyone I have been trying to get Dovecot installed with OpenSSL support, but no matter what I do, when I run Configure, it says "Building with SSL support.........No". I have even tried configure --with-ssl=openssl, to no avail. I have built and installed OpenSSL, and libssl.so and libcrypto.so are in the /lib directory - what more does Dovecot want? I have tried figuring it out

Archiving Dovecot format maildir
Hi! It seems that the Maildir format used by Dovecot is a standard, right? Has anyone written something to archive mail in Dovecot format maildirs? I have a script that seems to be for Cyrus IMAP but it doesn't seem to work. I'll write a Perl program if there is nothing available but I am concerned about dovecot's index files - do I need to do anything to get dovecot to rebuild

Starting Dovecot?
Hello! I have laid SSL aside for the time being, and continued compiling and installing Dovecot. Now I don't know how to start it! I have been through the config file and mostly left things as-is. I have created the dovecot user and group and put only dovecot user in the dovecot group. Then I tried imap-master, as specified in the INSTALL documentation, but there is no such file! Under

Mailbox archiving
Hi all! I have a strange problem with Dovecot - deleted messages never seem to get deleted on the server! Deleted messages just seem to get a 'T' at the end of them on the server and remain there, so user mail boxes continue to grow to incredible sizes. Is this a setting I must change somewhere? Must I delete these files manually? Leslie

R and reading matlab compressed files
Is there any way to read these files (standard .mat files, created by matlab version 7 onwards are compressed)? I know that R.matlab doesn't read them (it even says in the file MatlabServer.m "Matlab v7 saves compressed files, which is not recognized by R.matlab's readMat()" (lines 47-8)). I know I should be able to make R call Matlab and transfer data (not that I managed to

[RFR] JDK-8156980: Hotspot build doesn't have -std=gnu++98 gcc option
it's difficult to use llvm tools like sanitizers on openjdk sources, because of the "cheating" - relying on undefined behavior, and the JIT. Resending: Requesitng wiki editing ermission
Resending .... Also, related feedback - I got no "permission to post this list is only for list members" notification from Mailman in response to my first post to this list so I did not know the mail was discarded. Would be very nice to attend to that setting in Mailman so folks know that their post never made it through vs. assuming folks are busy and will get back to you shortly.

Slow bulk insert query
As part of my application I calculate/generate a fair chunk of data, and I then stick the reults into the database (mysql). This takes the form of a single "INSERT INTO foo(...) VALUES(...) " statement that is approx ~500k The dats itself consists of pairs of integers. If I dump the query string to disk and paste it into the query browser and run it then execution is <1 second. If
