dovecot.procontrol.fi anonymous access fails?
Hi, just started using dovecot on FreeBSD. Nice and easy to configure :-) I then wanted to browse the dovecot mailing list, so, according to http://dovecot.procontrol.fi/mailinglists.html: IMAP archives available from dovecot.procontrol.fi, either use ANONYMOUS authentication or give anonymous as username and empty password. I was using a patched sylpheed that doesn't support

anonymous CVS access to Samba sources
Those of you wishing to follow the Samba source code closely can now get direct read-only access to the Samba source code repository. This means you can see every piece of code we commit to the tree the minute we commit it. I haven't provided this type of access up to now as I couldn't work out how to make it totally safe, so that a malicious user can't gain write access. I've now

Anonymous cvs access
With Tony Rossini's help we have established anonymous CVS access to a read-only copy of the main R CVS tree at cvs.r-project.org. This would be of interest primarily to those who want to track the development version (and who have access to CVS, of course). To use anonymous cvs you must log in to the server under the name "anoncvs" and with the password "anoncvs". You

The anonymous CVS repository for the netfilter/iptables project has been moved. [LLVMdev] Could not access CVS for llvm
I tried to access the latest LLVM, since several messages here so far have referred me to it. Now I have no experience with CVS-over-the-net. My previous experiences with versoin control have been RCS and Monotone. Brief summary: hendrik at lovesong:~/dv$ mkdir llvm hendrik at lovesong:~/dv$ cd llvm hendrik at lovesong:~/dv/llvm$ cvs -d :pserver:anon at llvm.org:/var/cvs/llvm login Logging in

[LLVMdev] Could not access CVS for llvm
Hendrik, You could also just "touch ~/.cvspass" to create the file which should eliminate the warning. However, since you did a login, and it seemed successful, chances are the file now exists (containing the blank password for anon at llvm.org). Reid. [LLVMdev] Re: Could not access CVS for llvm
Its possible to get the "file not found" error if the directory is not readable. Are you sure you don't have a permissions problem or something? Reid. Anonymous CVS, Snapshot mirrors available
Thanks to the generosity of Rob Hagopian <rob at hagopian.net>, portable OpenSSH now has a public anonymous CVS tree and a mirror of the snapshots on a fast (colocated) machine. The nightly snapshots are now available from: http://bass.directhit.com/openssh_snap/ Please use these instead of the mindrot.org ones (which will be going away soon). To checkout the CVS tree, issue the

cvs anonymous password
What is the password to download the sources via anonymous cvs? When I run cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@oss.oracle.com:/cvs login It prompts me for a password and no matter what I try it always responds with: Server configuration missing --allow-root in inetd.conf

New mailing list: dovecot-cvs
Installed syncmail program what Thomas was wanting. It sends a mail of each cvs commit, including the actual changes in source. Otherwise the mailing list is read-only. Subscribing happens the same way as to dovecot list, ie. dovecot-cvs-request at procontrol.fi with subscribe in subject. Hmm. I think I should also separate the private/public cvs repositories running in that computer and provide

[LLVMdev] Vector LLVM checked in!
Hi, As advertised to some, I've checked in a BETA VERSION of my vector extensions to LLVM. It is checked in as a CVS branch off of the main line. You can get the branch by doing a normal llvm checkout and adding the argument -r vector_llvm. E.g., to check out from anonymous CVS, you would do this: • cvs -d :pserver:anon at llvm-cvs.cs.uiuc.edu:/var/cvs/llvm login • Hit the return

lots of changes in cvs
Hi all, I''ve been spending a lot of time over the past few weeks on RubyTorrent. All the changes are in CVS. Highlights are: - Transfer speeds should be much better, thanks to a better piece selection algorithm, and being more aggressive about dropping boring peers and adding new ones, - Download/upload rate limits now work. - Many bugs fixed. - .torrent creation now

How do I get the cvs?
Hey, I have downloaded the "lartc.ps", version "1.0.0", last updated 2004-03-31 00:11 CET. So, I would assume the CVS is newer. I have tried to download the CVS version of the HOWTO. However, I get this error, using ''cvs'' as password: $ export CVSROOT=:pserver:anon@outpost.ds9a.nl:/var/cvsroot $ cvs login Logging in to
