Hello, I have two disks sda and sdb. One of the was broken so I have changed the broken disk with a working one. I started the server in rescue mode, and created the partional table, and added all the partitions to the software raid. *I have added the partitions to the RAID, and reboot.* # mdadm /dev/md0 --add /dev/sdb1 # mdadm /dev/md1 --add /dev/sdb2 # mdadm /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdb3 # mdadm

Hi, recently I installed a new GBit connected iSCSI Storage to one of our fileservers. Redhat EL Linux 5.7 samba3x-3.5.4-0.83.el5, kernel 2.6.18-238.19.1.el5PAE, Dell Poweredge 1750, dual Xeon. The transfer speed is very very different, depending on the method I use. Currently I'm the only user accessing that server and there is low network traffic. I know, that there are some overheads

Assert in jbd-kernel.c
Hello. I have installed the ext3 file system on a test system, and sometimes I have a problem: I get an assert from within jbd-kernel.c, and whatever prgram was writing to the disk when this happens is unable to continue. The system is a server I built, which I named "dax". It is running Debian unstable, and I updated it to all the latest packages in Debian unstable as of today.

Trying to understand SELinux MSG

I see what it says under Allow Access but I am not sure this is what I really want to do without know why it happened in the first place. What should I be looking at to understand what or why this has happened? Any help I would be most grateful for. Here is the output form SELinux SUMMARY:

slightly different audio output
Hi, I wonder if there is specific requirement or restriction for the decoder in order to be consider "Vorbis" compliant (or let's say, to be a "correct" vorbis decoder). I am experimenting with integerized libvorbis and the decoder delivers the audio data as following, (and compare with the floating point version below). $ tail audioout-int.txt 0290670 025e 085c 02cf 0895

Fully-Virtualized XEN domU not Booting over iSCSI
Hello, I am currently trying to move my VMs from running on local host storage to a shared storage (trying out iSCSI) but I am facing a bit of a booting dilemma. The domUs are a mix of paravirtualized and fully-virtualized VMs. They all boot and run like clockwork when on local storage. The paravirtualized domUs appear not to have a problem when I relocate and boot them from the shared storage
