possible packet forwarding or routing problem
Hi. I have a system with two network cards -- eth0 is a public ip
address and eth1 is on an internal network. Now I have all the packet
forwards enabled, and there is a route from eth1 to the internal
network, but if a computer on the internal network sets his gateway to
the box, he can''t traceroute past the box to the internet. There
are no iptable rules yet.
Here is the routing

LAN hosts not reachable
Me and my son are running Tinc over 5 nodes, 3 of them got public address
and we using them as server. Each node has its own Lan subnet 192.168.0.0/24.
Originally we ran network on Openwrt routers with Tinc many years without
any problem, but due to limited RAM on routes and change of one router to
not Openwrt supported model, we decided to transfer Tinc installation on
Raspberry Pi-s in LAN.

WAN setup over frame relay 7 locations
Hi - I have shorewall-1.3.8-1 on a RH 7.3 machine that acts as a firewall
for my network. It was running the other day just fine, but today I have
problems getting to the firewall. It is a frame-relay network with Cisco
routers. Everything is 192.168.x.x / 24. I can''t ping the firewall from
the WAN, but can from the main LAN. Sounds like a routing issue to me, but
it was working for

Routing problem
Hi,
I'm building a firewall/router on Centos. I'm using Shorewall but have
currently stopped and cleared the firewall rules to isolate the routing
problem.
My firewall box has 5 interfaces in it but currently only two are involved
in the problem.

TEQL and Subnet problem
TEQL and Subnet problem
I have a network topology shown below, and I am trying to use TEQL. My
problem is: When I ping to P3.teql0 from P2 ("[P2]# ping 16.119.144.66"),
the traffic can never go from P2.eth1, and all traffic only goes to
P1.eth0. What P2.eth1 (16.119.144.33) did is broadcasting an ARP asking
for the MAC address of 16.119.144.66, although I have specified the route

tinc config(?) problems
I'm having a bit of a problem getting tinc up and running between a pair of
RedHat (one 6.0, the other 6.1) boxes. It's installed and configured to the
point where they can connect, but I'm not seeing any traffic passing
between the two systems.
System A looks like -

2 NICs Bridge + Router
Hi wondering if anyone can help. I have two NICs on a debian sarge based
system and current running as a bridge (br0) which consists of eth0 and
eth1. Is it possible to add a virtual interface to the eth1 so I can
also do NAT on the box as well? I have tried many times and keep coming
up with errors.
Kind Regards

Well I think this issue is just the same. The moment I used apt to
