Big Thanks to Johnny
As a result of following Johnny's handy dandy guide, the postfix/clamav/spamassassin/squirrelmail/dovecot install on one of my new 4.3 boxes was mostly painless. I've been using postfix and keeping in touch with Wietse since 98-ish so I'm quite comfy with postfix, but all this new fangled mail scanning stuff is a bit confusing to an old dog like me. :-) It seems to mostly work,

Johnny's site hacked?
Or is it some sort of inside joke? http://www.hughesjr.com/ If it's a bona fide hack, I'd be curious to know how the culprit got in. The the distro's maintainer has gotten burgled one would think that a lot of other systems are at risk. Cheers,

2.1.rc3 (1a722c7676bb): doveadm mailbox list withholds child mailboxes
Probably I've overlooked something. Has anyone else noticed that firefox is less stable after the recent security update? dovecot-2.0-pigeonhole/ManageSieve: wrong service name
Hi Stephan, ManageSieve uses the wrong? service name for the authdb lookup. With dovecot-1.2-managesieve the service name was changed from 'managesieve' to 'sieve'. So I altered my table layout in order to make the query "SELECT userid AS "user", password FROM dovecotpassword('%Ln', '%Ld') WHERE %Ls" work again. When I try to login on the sieve

FYI: Package installation problem with windows
Hello, maybe this info is helpful for someone else, at least it is a reminder for me if the problem should reoccur: The last hours R drove me nuts because it wouldn't install new packages, or more irritating still: It would chose randomly which packages to install when given a list ("unable to move temporary installation" ). The solution was to turn of the indexation of

Building the Antispam plugin fails
Hi! I'm running Dovecot 2.2.5 on a CentOS 6.4 server from the ATRPMs repository. Unfortunately this repo does not provide a packaged version of the Antispam Plugin. So I followed the steps outlined in the Dovecot Wiki [1]. But when running the command ./configure, I get stuck with the following error: checking for dovecot-config in "/usr/local/lib/dovecot"... not found configure:

symlinking maildirs
I have some emails that I think are in the Postfix delivery queue going to Dovecot, but didn't get mapped to their alias (because I didn't have all the alias entries in when they were queued). I'm wondering if this trick would work. I have the mail being delivered to /home/mail/%Ld/%Ln/mail and am wondering if I could make a symlink at /home/mail/example.com/foo -> bar and add a
