Polishing my geom_bar for publication
Dear list,
I am new with ggplot2 and I have spend quiet some time putting together the following code to create the attached plot. However there's still a few things that I'm having trouble with!
I would be grateful if someone can tell me how to fix (1) the colour of my bars into grey scales (2) removing the y-axis (species name) on the right figure to avoid duplication, and (3) fix the

simple plot in ggplot2, wrong error bars
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, simple problem.
I am essentially following the example on Hadley's webpage
(http://had.co.nz/ggplot2/geom_errorbar.html), but it still doesn't make any
sense to me.
df <- data.frame(trt = factor(c("intact", "intact", "removed", "removed")),
coon = c(0.093, 0.06, 0.057, 0.09), group =

ggplot qplot bar removing bars when truncating scale
I'm having problems with this example, it is posted with reproduceable code
below, both with the normal 0-6 scale and the desired 3-6 scale (with bars
removed). How can I get the graph to have the desired 3-6 scale without
removing the bars. Thanks!

ggplot2: setting martin
Is it possible to set the margin in ggplot2 to a fixed size? I create many
plots, and I want them to look the same.
Especially I want them to have the same left margin.
But
P<-ggplot()+geom_bar(aes(c("short label1","short
label2"),runif(2)))+coord_flip()
P<-creates a plot with another margin as
ggplot()+geom_bar(aes(c("very very very very long

ggplot incorrect legend
How do I create a legend with ggplot?
I think should be getting the FuelTypeNum in the legend.
Plot:

My code is:
ggplot(data=tempTable, aes(x=Bands8, y=SubPercent, fill=FuelTypeNum)) +

ggplot2 question: keeping the order as in the input data
Hello!
I am using ggplot2 (see the code below) to plot the data in 'myplotdata'.
The first column of 'myplotdata' is called "att.levels" and contains
strings; the second column is called "WTP" and contains numeric values.
Notice - I use 'coord.flip()'
The command aes(x=att_levels, y=WTP), if I understand correctly, sorts
things alphabetically based on

ggplot2 geom_polygon fill
Hi everyone,
i've been trying to make a special plot with ggplot2, but I can't get it to
fill the polygon I'd like to see filled so very very much.
I want to display the difference or change in the distribution of the
modified Rankin Scale between two groups. mRS is a scale for disability or
daily activities competence.
It looks like this.

Overlay line on a bar plot - multiple axis
Hi Miluji,
Using Jim's interpretation of your desired graph,
you could do it in ggplot2 using your dat DF by:
ggplot() +
geom_bar(data=dat,
aes(x=week,y=count,fill=city),stat="identity",position="dodge") +
coord_flip() +
geom_line(data=dat, aes(x=week, y=mean_tmin))
There would still need some work to be done to get the weekly mean
into a legend, but it is

I am trying to add a less than equal sign to a plot. I have previously done
this using unicode but is not working in this instance. Any suggestions
would be great
thanks

ColorBrewer question
Hello, R friends,
I'm trying to change colors of my horizontal bars so that they show a sequence.
I chose the ColorBrewer palette "Blues". However the resulting plot doesn't show any changes to the default.
I tried several places of "+ scale_colour_brewer(type="seq", pal = "Blues")" with no effect.
This is my code:

ggplot2: Controlling line width of panel borders
Dear R-users,
i encountered some problems when trying to adjust the line width of the
axes and stripes in a plot created with ggplot2.
I use the "barley" dataset of the lattice package to illustrate my problem:
library(ggplot2)
library(lattice)

Specifying the gap between "dodge'd" bins groups?
I'm looking at ggplot-static\position_dodge.html
For ggplot(diamonds, aes(x=price, fill=cut)) + geom_bar(position="dodge") , is it possible to specify the spacing between the dodge'd bin groupings?
That is, I would like for there to be a small separation (horizontal space) between the "Ideal" and the "Fair" bars on the plot. That way the reader can get

Broke ggplot...
It appears I broke ggplot in my script, but that maybe it is because the caffeine has worn off or maybe it is late in the day. I thought I was beginning to understand ggplot, but I have encountered a silly little issue.
For some reason the following does not produce a histogram with fill due to the Person's characteristics:

Problem of intercept?
Dear R-experts,
Here below my R code working with quite a few warnings.?
x11 and x12 are dichotomous variable (0=no and 1=yes). I substract 1 to ignore intercept.
I would like not to ignore intercept. How to modify my R code because if I just remove -1 it does not work?
