Hi, I have read this thread and want to say that I have expirienced the same problem. Once, when I was loged in, one of my filesystems ( root filesystem :( ) became read-only with the same symptoms. But results was more tragic. Almost in each directory avg. 10% of files had incorrect attributes, owner, links, etc. But filenames was correct. So, I was obliged to re-create root filesystem :(

PRI Errors (HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel)
UPDATE. The circuit has run clean since the 7th. It seems the telco found a problem after all but they can't tell me what they did... cause they think it was fixed as part of another case. Grrr. Well, I never doubted the T400P too much but I went ahead and bought a different card just in case. Haven't had to use it so far. One of the biggest reasons I did not think the Wildcard was at

[Bridge] recent crashes? Linux kernel 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 (Linux Fedora Core 5)
At the risk of angering the crash Gods, my sustem has NOT crashed again since I downgraded the kernel from 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 to 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5. Given that newfound stability, and my lack of time, I'm going to put on hold any further diagnostics, until the next kernel revision is released. I have submitted a report at bugzilla.redhat.com (bug 218128). (Ah, nuts; accidentally created a

Unfortunately, I need to request some guidance in troubleshooting a problem I am having using the RedHat installer on their version 7.3, which uses Syslinux as the boot mechanism. A little background: I have an old Micron Powerdigm XsU dual PII

Hang on boot with 4.9-STABLE
Yet another hang on boot issue wqith 4.9. I havn't seen anything the same go through the list and I've searched the archives but not found anything appropriate. Box that has been rock solid under 4.8-P3, took it to 4.9-R and 4.9-STABLE (as of today) and it hangs on boot after the apm0 line. It's doing SMP and the motherboard has hyperthreading enabled. Centos 4 and Supermicro ICH7R
Hi: I've tried to install centos 4.3 in a raid array, setuped on bios as mode "Adaptec". The chip is ICH7R but centos always sees 2 drives instead of the array that I create. I've contacted Supermicro support and they gave me this link ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SATA/Adaptec_ICH7R/Linux/Redhat/ , but the disk drivers I tried to use with centos 4.3 did not work, saying that

CPU1 never used despite HTT?
Hi, I am running a Xeon with hyperthreading support. Until last week's HTT modifications, according to ps(1) and top(1) both logicals CPUs were in use. (Processes in CPU0 and CPU1 state; "C" column showing "0" or "1".) This has changed with a recent -STABLE kernel which includes last week's changes to HTT (removing "options HTT"). I am only seeing
