R.oo modify an object inside another classes method
Can someone show me how to modify one (R.oo) class's object inside another
(R.oo) class's method? Is that possible with the R.oo package? A quick
example or reference to an example would be outstanding...

R.oo package, inherit two classes
Hello,
How do I inherit two classes using the R.oo package. Below is kind of a
silly example, but I am trying to create class PerDog from classes Dog and
Person. Error at bottom. I've tried a few other ways of using extend(), but
nothing seems to get me what I want.
Example:
setConstructorS3("Person", function(age=NA) {
this = extend(Object(), "Person",
.age=age
)

detecting finite mixtures
This question teeters on the brink of general statistics rather than an
R-specific issue, but I'm hoping it boils down to how I coded V&R's EM
algorithm for finite mixture modeling and not something worse (i.e. that
my plan is impossible).
Briefly, I'm trying to simulate an experiment where the hypothesis

Because openSUSE and many other linux distributions put all things to /usr/lib (i586) and /usr/lib64 (x86_64) or /usr/lib32.

Shapiro.test on data frame
Hi, I need help to perform a Shapiro.test on a data frame, I know that
this test works only with vector but I guess there most be a way to
permor it on a data frame instead of vactor by vector (i.e. I've got 40
variables to analyze and its kinda annoying to do it one by one)

Relays Ending With "Disconnecting source due to socket timeout"
Sorry to leave that out. My connections typically last 2-6 hours before
the socket timeout error. The streams are MP3, either 64KBPS or 128KBPS.
Nathan also asked about firewalls. My Windows Firewall is off, and my
machine's antivirus doesn't have a firewall feature. I don't think
there's any firewall in play here.
