Different behavior of mtext
Dear R Users,
I am quite surprised to see that mtext gives different results when it
is used with 'pairs' and with "plot'. In the two following codes, it
seems that the 'at' argument in mtext doesn't consider the same unit system.
I would appreciate your comments on this issue.

How to add horizontal lines above bar graph to display p-values?
Hi,
I would like to draw horizontal lines above a bar graph, in order to display
the p-values of a Fisher test. Here is an
example<http://thejns.org/action/showPopup?citid=citart1&id=f3-1060501&doi=10.3171%2Fped.2007.106.6.501>of
the type of display I would like to have. Is there a way to draw the
horizontal lines and write their associated p-values in R?
Thanks for you help!

Combining a greek letter and a newline on the same label
Hi,
I would like to add a two-lines label consisting of:
"Delta word1\n
word2"
(with Delta being the actual greek letter).
However, when I try "expression(paste(Delta,"word1\nword2"))", I obtain the
following display:
"word1\n
Delta word2".
Do you have any idea on how to obtain the desired display?
Thank you for your help!

barplot x-axis problem
Hi R-users,
I'm new to R and I'm trying to make a barplot combined with two lines
(refering to secondary y-axis). Bars should represent the number of
transfused patients by age class and sex and lines should represent
the amount of blood units given in age classes. I have now successfully made
a barplot and used par(new=TRUE) to plot another empty graph at the top of
the barplot.

how to move x-axis labels down
Hi,
In the code below, the labels I put on the x-axis are too high (they cross the
axis). Can anyone tell me how to move them down? I've tried adj=, padj=, mar=,
and various other things, but cannot move them down.
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] fmac generation for cortex-a9
Hi Renato,
It's definitively not A15. Can this be the case that NEON units for cortex-A9 support it but isn't documented/recommended ?
And as mentioned before code is working !

[LLVMdev] fmac generation for cortex-a9
Hi Bastien,
Weird gcc is generating fma for my platform STEricsson Novathor with Linaro, code works. It also works when I use LLVM to generate fma (using llc -mtriple=armv7-eabi). Maybe someone from ARM can answer the question ?

as.POSIXct character string is not in a standard unambiguous format
Hi Ben
Thanks for your answer
I have already tried this, as well as
x <- as.POSIXct(strptime("2002-02-02 02:02", "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M"))
It works! But it does not fix it widely for all tests used during the
"make check" step at compile time. Unless I patch all of them.
There is something with localtime but I cannot find what.

Plot: Distance between tick and tick label on y-axis
Hello,
I want to reduce the distance between my ticks and their labels. I managed
to do it for the x-axis, but the y-axis puzzles me. Here's an example where
there is no space between the x-asix ticks and labels.
par(las=1)
plot(runif(50), type="l",xaxt="n",yaxt="n",ylab="", bty="l")
axis(2)
axis(1,padj=-1.5)
#However,

[LLVMdev] fmac generation for cortex-a9
Hi Sebastien,
ARMv7-M has VFMA and LLVM's "triple" is far from perfect.
Wikipedia tells me NovaThor can also be A15, or STE could have cramped
a VFPv4 in it? ;) Or possibly, your code never branches into the VFMA.
Many things could be happening, but usually, VFMA shouldn't be
generated for A9.
A GCC bug, maybe?

OT: suggestion need on Sync in the windows way.
I agree,
If the synology uid and gid is working right than nfs would be great. it
would be easy...
However, it seem that they have something else running under samba/nfs to
control the permission on the files/folder...
I would like to use bidir sync because I like some of the synology feature
on remote sync and etc which is making remote access much easier compare to
samba...
But these sync
