CentOS-4/alpha 4.1beta is there to play
Hi,
I've always been kind of on/off with alpha. Remember making some kind
of debian/alpha installer back -97ish. Lately (like past 2 years), i've
been compiling SRPMS on alpha too from time to time.
Most of my alpha hardware was pretty much ancient crap, so i wasn't
quite confident pushing anything out to public as i wasn't able to test
even if EV6 would be ok. Little over week

OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 on Compaq Alpha
Hello,
I have installed OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 on a DEC AlphaServer 4000 under Tru64 UNIX 4.0F
and on a DEC AlphaStation 200 under Tru64 UNIX 5.1.
I tested Protocol 2 and 1 with RAS authentication resp. DSA authentication an
both work well.
There is one bug: I cannot view the man pages for OpenSSH under Compaq Tru64
UNIX. Are they in a special format which is not understood by the Tru64 UNIX man

Compaq cpqfc driver
Hi,
I am trying to compile kernel 2.6.9-11.EL from kernel-sourcecode, and need
the Compaq cpqfc HBA driver. I see the code for the driver under
drivers/scsi but when I do a "make menuconfig" I do not have the option to
select it. Any ideas on how I can get it to show up?

Thanks.

Compaq Proliant 2500 Dom0
Hi,
I''m trying to boot xen dom0 on a Compaq Proliant 2500 but so far I
have been unsuccessful, I get (XEN) Not enough memory to stash the
DOM0 kernel image.
On a normal linux 2.6 kernel to boot I have pass "memmap=exactmap
memmap=640K@0 memmap=319M@1M" to the kernel at boot otherwise it hangs
because of the way Compaq Bios reports the system memory.
I''ve tryed to use

SMP + Compaq 2DH Array Controller cause freeze in boot
Good day all,
I've recently added a new piece of hardware to my collection - it's a
Compaq Proliant 1600R with a Smart Array 2DH controller and dual
processors. Unfortunately these features don't seem to play well
together.
Installing FreeBSD 4.8 was very smooth. After doing a CVSup, one of my
first tasks was to compile a new kernel with SMP support. The compile
went fine, but when I

compaq v2000 working with correct boot options and compaq r4000 still SLOWWW
Hi,
I have a v2000 compaq laptop. The realtek network and USB on this
machine was not working. After adding to grub.conf
"acpi=off apci=off noacpi noapic"
the v2000 realtek started working and the USB worked fine... Fantastic!
So I thought I would try those same options on my r4000 laptop.
they had no effect.... This AMD turion 64 4000+ rating laptop is still
running SLOWWW...

Recent 4.8-STABLE & Compaq Proliant System drive issues
Howdy all. We're experiencing some difficulties encountered from a new
build/install world/kernel on a Compaq Proliant machine we have.
We were running fine under 4.7-STABLE, and updated the sources to 4.8-STABLE
last night (5/8/03), built and installed. This morning after a reboot, we got a
horrid error to the likes of:
Error mounting root. Error no 22.

Compaq T700
Hi
Has anyone got a Compaq(/HP) T700 UPS to work with the BCMXCP
driver? I've built yesterday's CVS of NUT 2.1 on one of my FreeBSD systems but
chown root:wheel /dev/cuaa0
/usr/local/libexec/upsdrvctl -u root start
gives:

Syslinux 1.75, LEAF Bering 1.2, Compaq 2266
I have been using the LEAF Bering firewall for a year or so. It boots
with Syslinux 1.75. But Bering is too large for a 1440KB floppy, so it
formats the diskette as 1680KB. Recently I found a small Compaq 2266 box
to replace a larger Compaq 7170 to run the firewall. But when I try to
boot the Bering diskette on the 2266 I get the following message:
