lattice multiple y-scale possible?
Hi I am attempting to use the lattice bwplot function to generate boxplots of numerous parameters (1-panel/parameter) by site (x-axis). The parameters have quite different ranges of values, so it would be best to have a separate y-axis range for each panel. Below is a basic example of what I am trying to do. As is seen, the y-axes need to be scaled individually to make this useful. Any

Trixbox vs. Custom install
Hello, I'm following the thread "Asterisk@Now vs Trixbox", and I have a similar question: if someone is going to install Asterisk, FreePBX and A2Billing, should you advice him/her to use Trixbox ... or a custom "step by step" installation on a distribution of his/her choice? Thanks Stefano

Billing pulses
Hello, I've discovered that in Italy ISDN lines can be programmed to generate a "billing pulse" every n seconds (it dipends from the pricebook). The pulse has these figures: frequency .................................................................... 12 kHz ? 1% level .......................................................................... 200 mVrms on 200

AOC billing
Hello, is there someone who knows if I can use AOC for billing in Asterisk? I mean: let's say I have an external SIP device that produces AOC data. This device connects me to the telco network. Can Asterisk, if connected via SIP with this device, collect AOC data and put it in the CDR records? If not, which is the right way to use AOC for billing? Thanks a lot Stefano Corsi -- Stefano

Security on long distance calls
Hello, which kind of method could you use to inhibit long distance calls to _some_ extensions? Is there a way to do it with freepbx or you have to do it manually in the config files? I wouldn't like to set a route password, because that is not confortable for the pbx operator. I just would like the operator being able to call whatever number, while the extensions should only be able to

POSIXlt vs POSIXct
Hello R users I am searching for a descriptive summary of the use of POSIXlt as compared to POSIXct date/time formats. I have been using them extensively for different purposes, but still can't quite understand when to use which one for the most efficient coding and use. I typically use them in graphics, comparison of times, interpolation of values between times, computation of

Summary of "Trixbox vs. custom install"
Hello everybody. First of all thanks to all the people giving their opinion on the subject I proposed: "Trixbox vs. custom install". You've all been very helpful. I try to summarize what has emerged from the various messages. Forgive me if I miss or forget something or if I simplify too much some of your messages... - Elman Efendiyev says that you should install from sources if

Classic upgrade and forced password change...
I'm doing some test moving from a NT domain to ad AD domain, using debian jessie samba (4.2) and obviously the 'classicupgrade' procedure. In my setup i use(d) extensively some script to reset password to users. I was (ab)used to have 'smbpasswd' behave differently if executed by root, eg change the password without taking in consideration password policy and check password

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something: Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX. I have: - 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it) - 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office What (and how many) cards

You will probably be better off using a later version of Samba, 4.2 is EOL as far as Samba is concerned. You can easily do this

Mandi! Rowland Penny via samba In chel di` si favelave... > samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off Ahem, i've typed '--comploxity'... sorry... OK, option is available in samba-tool in 4.2, but does not seems to work: root at lupus:~# samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off Password complexity deactivated! All changes applied successfully!

TDM2400: some FXS module fail
Hello, I've installed two Digium TDM2400 cards on my server. One has 24FXS and the other has 16 FXS and 4 FXO. They are both connected to power. Unfortunately some of the FXS module fail to initialize and I find following messages in the logs (the rest of the FXS modules work well). Could someone give me some advice? !!!!!!!
