xts/time-series and plot questions...
Hello, I'm a complete newbie to R. Spent this past weekend reading The Art of R Programming, The R Cookbook, the language spec, Wikis and FAQs. I sort-of have my head around R; the dizzying selection of libraries, packages, etc? Not really. I've probably missed or failed to understand something... I have very a simple data set. Two years (ish) of temperature data, collected and

Using assign with mapply
I have a data frame whose first colum contains the names of the variables and whose second colum contains the values to assign to them: : kkk <- data.frame(vars=c("var1", "var2", "var3"), vals=c(10, 20, 30), stringsAsFactors=F) If I do : assign(kkk$vars[1], kkk$vals[1]) it works : var1 [1] 10 However, if I try with mapply

using "integrate" in a function definition
Dear list members, I'm quite new to R, and though I tried to find the answer to my probably very basic question through the available resources (website, mailing list archives, docs, google), I've not found it. If I try to use the "integrate" function from within my own functions, my functions seem to misbehave in some contexts. The following example is a bit silly, but

Merging multiple data sets
Hello R user, I have four data sets in dir "D:/Bharat Warule/Rdata_file" which are output_data_prod_1.rda, output_data_prod_2.rda, output_data_prod_3.rda, output_data_prod_4.rda. Each data set is huge size like number of rows 343297 and columns are near to 50. For example: x1 <- data.frame(x11=c(1,2,3,4,5),x112=c(10,10,10,10,10)) x2 <-

Long to wide format without time variable
Hi all, I am trying to convert a data set of physician death codings (each individual's cause of death is coded by multiple physicians) from long to wide format, but the "reshape" function doesn't seem to work because it requires a "time" variable to identify the sequence among the repeated observations within individuals. My data set has no order, and different

[LLVMdev] Alloca Instruction
Hi all, I was reading the description of run-time stack and alloca instructions in LLVM IR and have a question about the same. Do LLVM alloca instructions allow the processing on stack across some alloca blocks? For example, is following code valid? define i32 @f() { %0 = alloca i8, i32 16 %1 = ptrtoint i8* %0 to i32 %2 = add i32 %1, 4 %3 = inttoptr i32 %2 to i32*

[LLVMdev] A weird problem when try to output operand of instruction involving function pointer in a struct
Hi all, I just start to learn llvm. I am trying to get the operand's name of some instruction that invokes a function field of a struct. While, I found in the result that there is a sequence number attached to the function field name. Below is an example: /******source code t2.c*******/ #include <stdio.h> void F(){printf("F\n");} void E(){printf("E\n");} void

Putting directory path as a parameter
Hi List, I am new to R, this may be simple. I want to store directory path as parameter which in turn to be used while reading and writing data from csv files. How I can use dir defined in the below mentioned example while reading the csv file. Example: dir <- "C:/Users/Desktop" #location of file temp_data <- read.csv("dir/bs_dev_segment_file.csv") If I run this

Right way to install phpMyAdmin through Nginx and PHP-FPM
First I know this is not a list for PHP or Nginx setup or something else but I'll give it a try and ask here for support I'm running a new server with PHP 5.5.18 and Nginx 1.6.2 through FPM/FastCGI. Can't connect to samba from foreign network --- 'Gethostbyaddr failed' error in log.smb
I have a samba server at ip address aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd I can connect to it from clients on subnets aaa.bbb.eee. and aaa.bbb.fff. I can't connect to it from clients on ggg.hhh. smb.conf has hosts deny = all hosts allow = localhost, aaa.bbb., ggg.hhh. The client can successfully 'ping mysambaserver' (resolves to aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd). Doing 'net view \\mysambaserver' fails with

How to spec an attachment_fu model
First off, I''m not trying to spec attachment_fu, I know it''s been tested. But, I added some code to that model that I do need to test. Basically, I need to somehow fulfill the "uploaded_data" property so I can actually run my tests(otherwise they fail because of validations). The "uploaded_data" field is what would grab the multipart data from form. Here

PMA attacks
It appears to be a low-level attack, not so frequent as to be banned permanently, just a number of times a day. I did google on this, and I gather it's looking for phpmyadmin. We've been getting one from one specific network in Russia for weeks Here are more information about 91.201.64.24: [Querying whois.ripe.net] [whois.ripe.net] <snip> % Information related to '91.201.64.0

phpMyAdmin can't connect to remote server
Hi All, I have had a thread about this going on the phpMyAdmin list for a little while. Nobody there has been able to shed any light on my problem. It seems that with phpMyAdmin I can not connect to remote servers. Though it also seems that apache, php and mysqli all work fine outside of phpMyAdmin. Below I have detailed my trouble shooting. This only seems to be an issue for me with CentOS 5 so
