trouble with installing pbatR
Hello folks, I am having a problem installing pbatR package. (My R version is 2.8.1.) As I execute a command > install.packages(lib='/usr/local/apps/R-2.8.1/lib64/R/library', "pbatR") it detects lack of rootSolve package and attempts to install it. Hi, I believe configure was not finding tk.h, because tk-devel rpm was not available on the given host. Thanks Erik and Peter for the suggestions on checking tk.h and stdout of ./configure. Package portability issues
We have some new Solaris boxes (both Sparc and amd64), and as they are not yet in production use I borrowed some time on them to run tests over CRAN packages, using the Solaris make and Sun Studio compilers. plot log scale, axis original scale
I want to produce some boxplots and plot the logged values but have the axis scale in the original, not-logged scale. It seeming like I have the first few steps but I'm having trouble with the last. Here's what I'm doing (which I got for the documentation for boxplot and axis). How do I get the ticks to be labeled 2,5, and 9 of the original scale? a<-c(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10)

Problem in loading all packages all at once
Hi All Please see the Rprofile file which i have modified as follows and after that when I start R then I see that R says to me "TRUE" for all the packages implying that all loaded at once. But when i try to use commands as simple as help("lm"), it doesnt work nor any of the menu "Packages" is not working. Although the regression using lm ( Y ~ X ) is working
