for loop help please!
Hi Everyone, I have a 2-dim data.matrix(e.g., table1) in which row1 specifies a range of values. row2 - rown specify the number of times I want to replicate each corresponding value in row1. I can do this with the following function: rep(c(table1[1,]),c(table1[X,])) #where X would go from 2 - n. Now, I can do this manually by changing the values of X and save each resulting array/vector in

x-axis labelling
Hi Folks! I have a question regarding an issue on which I´ve read a few threads but can´t resolve --> Labelling every other tick mark on the x-axis using factors. Sequence generation
Hey guys, I was wondering how to create this sequence: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3... with the '1, 2, 3' repeated over 10 times. Also, is there a simple method to generate 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3? Anyways, any help with be greatly appreciated! -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Sequence-generation-tp25205593p25205593.html Sent from the R help mailing list

Samba vs DHCP
I was using a Samba server under a SUNOS 5.5.1 operative system. This SUN machine was the server of a number of Lynux (Mandrake) and Windows (95,98, XP) computers in a TCP/IP network with fixed IP numbers. We were oblied to change to DHCP recently. As our network has a huge number of computers I am running the smbd and nmbd daemos of the Samba with an identification in such a way that only those

Object-oriented programming (OOP)
Hello everybody, please excuse my bad English. I am Alfredo Naime and I'm from to Venezuela. I want to make a lib with tools for simulation (queues, inventories, factory, etc.) using object-oriented programming (OOP). You have any manuals on the handling of data types, classes, inheritance, etc. in R with examples and how to make a R lib. Thank you, very much. Alfredo
