Efficient way to perform linear regressions
Hi All,
I have millions of regression lines to fit. So I am looking for the
most efficient approach in R.
Details:
I have a large desing matrix X. The dimension is n by p.
Each time when fitting the model, select rows from this matrix X and
form a new design matrix, called X_current.
There is another binary matrix M, with dim m by n, and each row is a
1*n vector. It helps to determin X_current.

how to Store loop output from a function
HI, Dear R community,
I am writing the following function to create one data set(*tree.pred*) and
one vector(*valid.out*) from loops. Later, I want to use the data set from
this loop to plot curves. I have tried return, list, but I can not use the
*tree.pred* data and *valid.out* vector.
auc.tree<- function(msplit,mbucket) {
* tree.pred<-data.frame()

help for SSOAP
Hi,
I am trying to learn how to from within R access web services. I am also interested in having R be a client and from within R access data on other web services. Specifically the web services I would like to access from within R are “http://water.sdsc.edu/waterOneFlow/NWIS/DailyValues.asmx?WSDL” Therefor, I wrote the following code into R program:

I focus on Statistical programming language R. I learn architecture
of R. But i don't find out any material in internet.
Would you like to help me this subject? If you have
documentations, would you like to share with me?
If you help me, i have informations about

You don't need winesetuptk or wineinstall anymore, because wine
automatically sets up a .wine directory with the appropriate contents.
Also, the wine config file isn't needed to successfully run wine
anymore. If you don't have a .wine

How to interpret these results from a simple gamma-frailty model
Dear R users,
I'm trying to fit a gamma-frailty model on a simulated dataset, with 6 covariates, and I'm running into some results I do not understand. I constructed an example from my simulation code, where I fit a coxph model without frailty (M1) and with frailty (M2) on a number of data samples with a varying degree of heterogeneity (I'm running R 2.3.1, running takes ~1 min).

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Nick,
I have committed 0001 as r203788.
I'm working on fixes for 0002 - 0014.

When you insert functions into std::set or its analogs it does all the
job for you. Since
