Dlink DGE-530T on CentOS 4.7
Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? The kernel provide skge, sky2 and sk98lin modules all fail to load. I was able to download the latest version from the syskonnect.de site, and with some hacking/klduging of their install script managed to compile the module in there (a newer version of sk98lin, it seems) which recognised the card... but this isn't really sustainable 'cos new

DLink / skge: Unable to clear error (so ignoring them) on large file transfers to card
Hi all, I''ve just installed a new Xen setup, ubuntu gutsy (with xen kernel package, so I guess that''s a complete replacement). Mostly works nicely, i think Xen''s great. I''ve just hit a snag when trying to transfer a large amount of data to the machine however, i''m using a PCI DLink gigabit network card (as the mobo onboard is the infamous realtek

D-Link DGE-550SX support
I found some ancillary information that seems to indicate that there is a driver that will allow a D-Link DGE-550SX Gigabit fiber NIC to work under FreeBSD 4.x. Can anyone confirm or refute this, or provide additional information? If the NIC is not supported, is there a recommendation for a gigabit fiber NIC that works well under 4.8? Thanks, Steve

[LLVMdev] Appending linkage and DGE
Sorry if this question is a repeat, I never got an answer the last time I asked :) How does appending linkage interact with dead global elimination? From what I understand, appending linkage arrays are stitched together by the linker. Dead global elimination usually happens after linking, so if any of those arrays are "live", then any globals that they point to will be live as well. My

OpenVPN throughput
Hello listmates, We are working on setting up two private networks linked by a public network which is fast (1 Gbit/s) but potentially insecure. Since the hosts on our two networks need to talk to each other, and do so securely, we have decided to use OpenVPN to connect them, making one gateway a server and the other a client. The connectivity part was easy to establish and worked like a charm.
