Right now my base kernel is at: 2.6.9-34.0.2.EL and I have this feeling that is quite behind the current rev. I cannot figure out how to get kernel.i686 to upgrade. I can't even seem

Is there a nice, yum-type install for libglade

Has this RH errata made it into Centos5 yet? http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2007-0365.html If so, what does it take to fix the problem of tomcat not running under Sun Java? Do you have to remove all packages that contain jars and reinstall them? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com

Off-topic: Howto decrypt OpenSSL file in Win32 environment
Hi all, I supose the subject is descriptive enough. In a CentOS server I do the next to make the daily backups: tar cfv - dir_data/ | openssl enc -e -salt -aes256 -pass pass:$PASSWORD -out backup_file.bin So I get an well-encrypted and tared file. If I want to decrypt and the file is easy in Unix/Linux environment: openssl enc -d -aes256 -in backup_file.bin | tar xfv - -C dir_what_you_want/

Is there something like apt? Using system-config-packages I cannot find any intelligent way to search for programs and package. Dirk
