Hi everyone, I have problems with a double for loop and the program response: "Error in 1:mass[j] : NA/NaN argument"
I'm trying to create a very simple script to generate a vector full of objects with the value [fuel] and in the amount [mass] for a hist plot.

Multiple data frames in single csv output
Hi everybody, I have a model that outputs 1) primary analysis results, 2) secondary analysis results and 3) model choice parameters. I would like to output them all together as one "spread sheet" to minimize my "copy paste time" since I need to run the model with at least 20-30 sets of parameters. They are all in different data.frames with different dimensions.
However, I have

bug with subset and plot?
Hi!
I have the following problem that I beleive is a bug:
I have a dataframe with one categorical and one numerical vector. The
categorical vector has three levels (uc, up and vc). A plot of the
vectors with the categorical vector on the x-axis gives a boxplot with
three boxes - exactly as expected.
If I then use the subset function to make a dataset that only includes
two of the levels of

Easy cut & paste from Excel to R?
Hi!
Is it possible to easily cut & paste data from an
Excel spreadsheet to
an R edit( ) grid or to variable?
It seems that R cannot handle the cell delimiters
Excel hands over.

Handling the windows clipboard/32KB limit
(R 1.9.1; Windows 2000;)
I'm just comparing ease of use, speed, etc for methods of transferring data frames in the Excel, MySQL, R triangle. It turns out that going from Excel to R (when doing this carefully). Using the clipboard is actually quite fast and efficient (2 seconds for transferring 120 000 cells on a common desktop computer as compared to much longer for going the RODBC route,

Copy data from Excel
Hello again,
I my day to day calculation, I need to take lot of data from Excel and
forth and generally I use 'clipboard' option with read.delim() function.
However many time, the data in Excel are like '(111,000)' instead of
'-111000'. Generally I convert data in the 2nd form in Excel itself and
then copy to clipboard.
Is there any option in R, so that I can

help with R
Folks, Two simple questions :
(1) I have a data set (call it data.xls) in a folder in my hard drive. How
do I perform a simple regression between two variables from that data set?
After I click on 'R', what exactly do I type in?
(2) Where do I get to see the complete library of packages offered by R?
In particular, I am interested in quantile regression and logistic
regression.

Reading one column .csv file
My friend sent an Excel file:
http://msemac.redwoods.edu/~darnold/temp/cyu01_iqscores.xls
http://msemac.redwoods.edu/~darnold/temp/cyu01_iqscores.xls
I opened it in Excel, saved is as cyu01_iqscores.csv, then imported it into
R with:
iqscores=read.csv('cyu01_iqscores.csv',header=TRUE)
The result was:
> head(iqscores)
IQ.Scores X
1 145 NA
2 101 NA
3 123 NA

what do you think about write.table(... qmethod = "excel")?
Last week one of our clients reported trouble with a csv file I
generated with write.table. He said that columns with quotes for
character variables were rejected by their data importer, which was
revised to match the way Microsoft Excel uses quotation marks in
character variables. I explained to them that quoted character
variables are virtuous and wise, of course, but they say Microsoft

Requery: R 1.0.0 for Win95 and clipboard
Noone answered so I guess this is not possible, but can anyone definitely put
me out of my misery...
'I have just begun using R 1.0.0 for Win95. Can someone please tell me how to
put a data frame on the clipboard, and how to read data into a data frame
from the clipboard.'
Is this something that's planned? The clipboard seems pretty fundamental to
Windows (and other OS?).
Thanks

Hello,
I am having difficulty putting a frequency table on my clipboard in R

Import Data from Excel
Dear all,
I want to import just part of an excel data file into R.
I would like to have the data imported without
rownames or colume names.
I used read.delim("clipboard", header=F). Somehow even though
I added the argument "header=F", I still have the row names V1, V2, ...,
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks very much in advance.
