I'm not sure what projects you're referring to.
If we create some constraints:
(1) Internal systems consoles (*plural*).
Rules out most things.
Noting that many tools are designed to bypass the console.
(2) Modern user interface.
Rules out Vim

appropriate work-around for problems with a specific plot device (Rstudio)?
Dear r-devel-opers,
I'm working on a package that does some plot-intensive work using the
animation library. It turns out that this performs very badly in the
RStudio plot device, which is the preferred IDE for our team. Our
kludgy solution is to detect if the Rstudio device is running, and if
so, open another plot device to do the rendering and close it when done:

RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
Dear all,
With the latest release of RStudio last week (v2024.09.0+375), support for
Qt builds has been removed. This means that we can no longer maintain
RStudio packages in the official Fedora repositories, because the necessary
Electron component is missing. RStudio is supported in the official
repositories up to v2024.04.2+764 and F40, and has been retired from newer
branches.
Consequently,

RStudio package maintenance moved to Copr
Many thanks I?aki.
Will Quarto get pulled in from your COPR automatically as well or do we
need to specifically install it before/after?
Also is it worth updating the "add ons" section at
https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/fedora/ as well?

RStudio 0.99.902 installation under sid: libgstreamer0.10-0 and libgstreamer-plugins-based0.10-0 missing
Dear r-sig'ers
I use Debian sid (amd64). I downloaded the most recent version of rstudio
.deb from their official site and issued:
dpkg -i rstudio-0.99.902-amd64.deb
to no avail:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of rstudio:
rstudio depends on libgstreamer0.10-0; however:
Package libgstreamer0.10-0 is not installed.
rstudio depends on libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0;

R does not run under latest RStudio
I have also had difficulty running R in RStudio. Has anyone else had problems?
It will be a shame if we need to abandon R Studio. It is a very good IDE.

problema con RStudio
Hola, ¿qué tal?
¿Puedes comparar la salida del comando
Sys.getenv("LD_LIBRARY_PATH")
en una sesión en la que funciona RODBC y otra en la que obtienes el
error anterior?
Un saludo,
Carlos J. Gil Bellosta

P.D.: A propósito, también he estado tratando de utilizar RODBC en
Linux y me he acabado rindiendo. Sobre todo porque RJDBC funciona
bastante bien.

Current version of R, 4.4.0 and patch to correct the bug fix related to the RStudio viewer pane on Windows systems
I help to coordinate the USEPA's R user group. We have over 500 members and our security officer has required us to update to R version 4.4.0 because of the security vulnerability to versions prior. However, we cannot download the patched version because it does not have a signed certificate and Microsoft Defender won't allow us to install it.
Most of our users rely on the RStudio

instalar administrar RStudio Server Open Source
Hola Jesús,
Muchas gracias por tu respuesta. Te comento algunas dudas iniciales que tengo respecto a la versión gratuïta de RStudio Server Open Source.

What makes R different from other programming languages?
My intention is to give a presentation about R programming language
for software developers. I would like to ask, what are the things that
make R different from other programming languages? What are the
specific cases where Java/C#/Python developer might say "Wow, that was
neat!"? What are the things that are easy in R, but very difficult in
other programming languages (like Java)?

Xen 3.0.3 troubles with a plain old ide disk.
Hi folks,
After using 3.0.3 at work for awhile I decided to upgrade my 3.0.2
install at home to 3.0.3; however, I ran into issues with my IDE disk
not being discovered.
The full log can be seen here: http://www.techmonkeys.org/xen.txt
I think this is the part most people will care about:

Pues ahí lo tienes.
De alguna manera R (a través de RStudio) no está incorporando el directorio
/u01/app/luisr/product/11.1.0/client_1/lib
donde se ve que tienes las librerías de ODBC al "LD path". Échale un vistazo a

Do you receive RDS objects from unknown (untrusted) sources?
?? If not - the security issue is a non-issue as I understand it.

R does not run under latest RStudio
The RStudio list generally does not respond to free version users. I was hoping someone one this (R) list would be kind enough to help me.

I don't think that is true. It is perhaps true that you cannot get
personalized help from employed staff, but you can certainly submit to
the Q&A forum.

IDE with table/matrix preview
I know there are several threads about IDEs for R.
I've tried Tinn-R, but I am looking for an IDE (win) with a preview function that shows me the variables and the table/matrix etc. when klicking. (comparable to Matlab). Does an IDE like this exist or can't IDEs give this functionality in R?
best,
Michael

Debugging using RStudio or any other R editor
Hello,
I am using RStudio and have trouble finding out the problematic line in
the presence of a bug. Could I view the line NUMBER which contains a bug?
Is there any R editor able to do it?
Thanks,
Miao
