doMC - compiler - concatenate an expression vector into a single expression?
Hi,
this post is about foreach operators, the compiler package and the last
update of doMC that includes support for the compiler functionality.
I am using a home-made %dopar%-like operator that adds some custom
expression to be executed before the foreach loop expression itself (see
sample code below).
It used to work perfectly with doMC 1.2.1, but with the introduction of
the compiler

[LLVMdev] [NVPTX] CUDA inline PTX asm definitions scoping "{" "}" is broken
Hi,
Looks like "{" and "}" are lost when trying to use the combination of Clang
and NVPTX, which may result into clash of definitions of the function-scope
and asm-scope. Here is an example:
> cat test.cu
__attribute__((device)) __attribute__((nv_linkonce_odr)) __inline__ int
__any(int a) {
int result;
asm __volatile__ ("{ \n\t"
".reg .pred

[LLVMdev] [NVPTX] CUDA inline PTX asm definitions scoping "{" "}" is broken
Dmitry,
You might be better served by filing this as a bug (http://llvm.org/bugs/). Please include a test case and the steps to reproduce (i.e., what you've provided below).

Yes, sure, good idea, because might be also Clang-related.

[R-sig-hpc] doMC - compiler - concatenate an expression vector into a single expression?
Thank you very much Steve.
Your suggestion works perfectly -- at least with doSEQ, doMC and doMPI.
Bests,
Renaud

2.10.0 Under development (unstable) (2009-09-15 r49711) just built segfaults on Debian Squeeze
I just downloaded R-devel and when loaded it immediately segfaults. I'm not
sure how much or what sort of diagnostic info and can provide, but below is
my build script, my console output, and the output of uname -r. I am
currently dependent on the development version of a package, so I'd like to
get R-devel up and running if possible. I am sure there is more info I can
provide, but before

[LLVMdev] [PATCH ]Add Subtarget ptx23
Hi, Justin
PTX version in CUDA 4.0 has changed from 2.2 to 2.3.
I add ptx23 subtarget and update a testcase.
Is that O.K.?

Designing and incorporating a digital filter
I have a time series of data from an electroencephalogram (EEG).
I wish to filter the data to get rid of 50Hz mains 'hum'. I have
'designed' a combination bandpass and notch filter using a web-
site. The site returns the filter in "ANSI C" source code. It is:-

Use GPU in R with .Call
Hi All,
I am a newbie to GPU programming. I wonder if anyone can help me with
using GPU in .Call in R.
Basically, I want to write a function that calcuates the sum of two
double type vectors and implement this using GPU. My final goal is to make
such an implementation callable from R.
(a) First, I wrote a R-C interface handles the R object using .Call
(saved as VecAdd_cuda.c
