R and Sweave
Hi everybody.
I'm trying to use R with Sweave but I have a problem perhaps with the
directory path of sweave in R.
The windows path is this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\R\R-2.9.2\share\texmf\Sweave
When I run the latex file with R, the program works well, without any
errors, but when I create the pdf file, the Scode doesn't work. I think the
problem is about the path.
Can anybody suggest to

I've got a problem in producing the pdf file from Latex with R code. When I
run the code Sweave("example.Rtex") in R it seems working, but when I run
the Latex file it doesn't. The code error shown to me is below:

Matrix in R
Hi everyone,
I'm building a matrix in R with a cycle for like this:
pp_ris2=matrix(NA,6,6)
for(i in 0:6){
for(j in 0:6){
if(i>j){
pp_ris2[i,j]=myfunction}
else if(i==j){
print(c(i,j))
pp_ris2[i,j]=myfunction}
}}
but the result is:

[LLVMdev] 2008-01-25-ByValReadNone.c Failure
Hi all,
I'm seeing this failure on my PPC G4 box running TOT with llvm-gcc
4.2. Is anyone else seeing this? I'm sure it's related to the byval
stuff that's recently gone into LLVM. I'm attaching the output of
this command:
$ llvm-gcc -emit-llvm -O3 -S -o - -emit-llvm /Users/wendling/llvm/
llvm.src/test/CFrontend/2008-01-25-ByValReadNone.c
As you can see in it, there

Hi R-users,
I'm trying to built a plot of two series of data, but thees series
result "superimposed". The R-code is like this:

numgoal <- 0:5
lambda <- sum(goal*numgoal)/sum(goal)
plot(numgoal, goal, type="h")
x <- 0:5
y<-dpois(x, lambda)

OK, Let's try this again! Here is the reproducible script; it is long because I had to copy the panel dataset here. My question is related to systemfit; I don't know how to get the result for the entire panel.

a +1 shift overlaying lines/points on a boxplot (PR#398)
Full_Name: Adrian Custer
Version: 0.90.0
OS: Linux on Thinkpad (pentium) and desktop (K6)
Submission from: (NULL) (128.32.251.234)
When I create a boxplot, and then try to overlay a lowess fit or just the
points,
the points do not appear in the highest level and the lowess curve does not
reach
the highest level. However, if I add one to each of the models, the problem is
solved.
I tried this

Sadly you failed to set your email program to send plain text and the data is corrupted at my end.
I also think you need to reduce the size of the data set... the intent here is to increase your understanding, not debug your particular analysis.
I will say that I am having a very challenging time understanding what you are trying to accomplish though. What are the equations that you think need

... and the mailing list is picky about attachments... whatever you attached did not conform to the stringent requirements mentioned in the Posting Guide. Pasting the code right into the email is usually safest, though you DO have to post using plain text (as the Posting Guide indicates) or your code may get mangled by the automatic html format removal.

Unless there is good reason not to, always cc the list -- there are lots of
smarter folks than I on it who can help.
I may or may not have time to look at this. Hopefully someone else will.

We don't know how to resolve it.
It would be fantastic if someone can help us.
Thanks.

I think I am asking a very simple question, but I really looked up in

I am trying to plot a data frame with the following structure (this is
just a small extract):

Formatting 'names.arg' in barplot
Hello,
I've been looking through ?phantom and ?expression and this forum for
examples of how I might be able to manipulate some of the names that appear
on the y-axis of the barplot below. For example, the "gw" in "ECgw" would
appear as a subscript...or "qr" would be the theta symbol followed by
subscript "r". My attempts haven't even come close
