Hello I have experienced some problems with vcut (media-sound/vorbis-tools-1.0-r1 package from Gentoo/Linux). I have a long live record I have encoded in OGG (maybe it would have been easier to cut the WAV file and encode the parts, but still). The file was encoded with oggenc from the same package as vcut. I have therefore tried to use vcut to split the long OGG file in several smaller files.

Dear R users, I have two nonlinear equations, f1(x1,x2)=0 and f2(x1,x2)=0. I try to use optim command by minimize f1^2+f2^2 to find x1 and x2. I found the optimal solution changes when I change initial values. How to solve this? BTW, I also try to use grid searching. But I have no information on ranges of x1 and x2, respectively. But results was more tragic. Almost in each directory avg. 10% of files had incorrect attributes, owner, links, etc. But filenames was correct. So, I was obliged to re-create root filesystem :(
