Very odd issue w/ a CentOS 6 system
Now, this is one we have an issue with: it's got a bttv card, and motion running on it. It's a Dell PE R720. For some reason, it has never liked the card: 20 min after reboot, it says fatal bus error... but nothing's wrong, and it runs just fine. Well, expect that we need to keep it on the 2.6.32-431.20.3 kernel, because *everything* later, it randomly starts rebooting, several times a

bttv driver issue
Just installed Centos 4. Thank you guys. It seems there is no bttv module compiled into kernel. After quite a long time on my Linux journey, my tv card couldn''t be recognised for the first time by a RH based system. Or am I missing a conf issue here? hme

X100P panic
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm experiencing frequent kernel panics when using the X100P card under the 2.6.6 Fedora kernel. I've attached the kernel output to this message - - it looks like the IRQ stack is overflowing and trashing some memory, causing a series of oopses followed by a complete crash. I have just hacked the kernel to reenable 8k stacks and will see

ext3 0.9.6 vs ext3 0.9.9
Hello, I have done extensive testing between 2.4.9 and 2.4.9-ac12 with ext3 0.9.6 and 0.9.9. I also tried using both kgcc and gcc-2.96. I have a problem with logging into xdm or starting the gnome-session totally locking up the machine while using ext3 0.9.9. It seems to go away using ext3-0.9.6. During xdm/gnome-session the hard disk is under heavy activity. I have attached my kernel config.

Oops
I don't know enough about it to know whether this is a known problem (I couldn't make much sense of what I found on Google), but it seems to be a journal-related issue. Is it likely that data has been corrupted? Hello, I've build drm and nouveau from git and got this error while starting Xorg. Another thing is that before the install instructions on the wiki worked I had to install xorg-dev. This was the error I got before installing xorg-dev: ./configure: line 20257: syntax error near unexpected token `RANDR,' ./configure: line 20257: `XORG_DRIVER_CHECK_EXT(RANDR, randrproto)' I'm not
