Isolines in vector format
Dear R users, I am working with netcdf data of NCEP/NCAR Climate Reanalysis. R does have capability to draw isolines using "contour". However, I need not to draw but to export contours in any vector format. Is it possible? Thank you.

pb with Date format using filled.contour

undesired grid in ps/eps outputs generated by filled.contour or image
Hi! Whenever I save a graphic in ps/eps format generated by filled.contour or image, an undesired grid is added to it (not visible on the X11 screen). For example: postscript("volcano.eps") filled.contour(volcano,col=gray(seq(0,1,,50)),levels=seq(min(volcano),max(volcano),,50)) dev.off() Any ideia how to eliminate this grid? filled.contour and time axis
Dear all, I am using filled.contour and my x-axis consists of a vector of dates, formatted using as.POSIXct. When I assign this vector to x in filled.contour, the x-axis in the plot is correctly formatted as dates. However, when I use plot.axes=axis(1) in filled.contour the x-axis is not correctly formatted. I need to opt for the latter because I want to add additional lines and points to the

filled.contour - color palette so z=0 ONLY is blue
I am trying to create a topographic map of an island - the filled.contour function works fine except i am experiencing difficulty trying to represent the sea properly. Basically I want the default colour blue for any instance where z=0, if I simply use the default topo.color I get shades of blue for z values up to 220 metres. Add arrows to a filled.contour margin
Hi, I try to put an arrow to a filled.contour plot. I make this: filled.contour(volcano, color = terrain.colors,key.axes=F) arrows(0.95,0,0.95,1,lwd=2) This work, but the problem is that I find the coordinates at random try, for other graphic with other scale is other fight with coordinates. extracting x,y coordinates from a contour plot

Hi I'm using lattice's function levelplot but when I choose the flag contour =TRUE I get very strange results. It looks like the contour lines have nothing to do with the "image" plot under ... questions about image()
Hi all, I have a few questions on color image in R (I'm using 0.90.1 on NT4). 1. How do I get a color key on the plot? 2. What I'd like to have is 0=white, 1=red, -1=blue (or any other color), and numbers in between represented by different shade (e.g., 0.1 would be light pink, -0.1 would be light blue, etc.). overlaying a contour line in a levelplot
Hello there, I am creating a series of images using levelplot but I also want to overlay a contour for a particular value as reference. contour lines for levelplot
Hi, I would like to add contour lines to a (trellis/lattice-) levelplot. Sure, there is the "contour=TRUE" argument, but this uses "cuts=..." (which is usually chosen very high for my plots. I guess cuts=99 is the best you can do (?)) for plotting the contour lines. Furthermore, I do not like the numbering of the contour lines this way. Therefore, I tried to add a
