Dovecot auth error
I just tried to configure a new dovecot/postfix server, and i end up with a dovecot auth error at startup. I can't find a solution by myself. geoRglm with factor variable as covariable
Dear R users. I'm trying to fit a generalised linear spatial mode using the geoRglm package. To do so, I'm preparing my data (geodata) as follow: geoData9093 = as.geodata(data9093, coords.col= 17:18, data.col=15,* covar.col=16*) where covar.col is a factor variable (years in this case 90-91-92-93)). Then I run the model as follow: / model.5 = list(cov.pars=c(1,1),

geoRglm question with covariates
Hi All, I'm trying to use the geoRglm package to run a poisson spatial glm on a dataset with several covariates. When I run without covariates I have no problems. control1.data.geo <- mcmc.control(S.scale=0.2, thin = 1) model1.data.geo <- list(cov.pars = c(1,1), beta=c(1), family="poisson") test1.model1 <- glsm.mcmc(data.geo, model=model1.data.geo,

Handling realisations in geoRglm
Dear R users: I want to model mosquito count data based on landcover attributes and meteorological variables using a Poisson GLSM in the geoRglm package. I have monthly mosquito counts over more than 20 years with repeated observations from individual trap sites over time. I have used as.geodata() to successfully read my dataset into the geodata format utilized by geoR and geoRglm,

Dovecot auth error
Maybe i got no answer because there is an error which seem obvious in my logs : Nov 4 20:57:55 vps81550 dovecot: auth: Fatal: sql: driver not set in configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf.ext I've obviously seen that, and tried to configure driver in that file, but it had no positive outcome, sous i reversed my config to the previous state. Considering what i've read,

4. Rexcel (Luis Felipe Parra)-how to run a code from excel
Hi Louis, It's simple to run a r script from the excel spreadsheet. Just write your code, source("C:\\Quantil Aplicativos\\Genercauca\\BackwardSelectionNC.r"), into a cell of a workingsheet. Then right-click the cell and select "run code" in the pop-up menu. Hope this will help you. Best, Bernard -----????----- ???: r-help-bounces at r-project.org [mailto:r-help-bounces

problem with glsm.krige: trendd and trend l must have similar specifications error
Hello, I used glsm.mcmc and likfit.glsm to create model. Now I want to predict at different locations, but I can't get glsm.krige to work. I keep getting the error that trend.d and trend.l must have similar specifications. I have tried numerous ways to include the covariates in the glsm.krige model, and I keep getting the same error message. The bolded part is the part that doesn't work.

nlme, MASS and geoRglm for spatial autocorrelation?
Hi. I'm trying to perform what should be a reasonably basic analysis of some spatial presence/absence data but am somewhat overwhelmed by the options available and could do with a helpful pointer. My researches so far indicate that if my data were normal, I would simply use gls() (in nlme) and one of the various corSpatial functions (eg. corSpher() to be analagous to similar analysis in SAS)

What does LOESS stand for?
Dear R-community, maybe someone can help me with this: I've been using the loess() smoother for quite a while now, and for the matter of documentation I'd like to resolve the acronym LOESS. Unfortunately there's no explanation in the help file, and I didn't get anything convincing from google either. I know that the predecessor LOWESS stands for "Locally Weighted

no luck with Xen....
Perhaps someone has ideas on this topic, a recent attempt to play with Xen was a reather unlucky event, all what I will be able to demonstrate on that system is a PV ONNV domU which ikely will not be very attractive to the audience :( HW: U40M2, 2 x 2 core AMD revF procs, 8GB MEM, Phonix BIOS 1.5 (latest) 1 x 200GB internal SATA drive SW: dom0 ONNV build 82, latest VirtManager from

[FOR REVIEW ONLY] ESX work in progress
The following patches are where I'm currently at with ESX support. I can now import a domain from ESX along with its storage. Note that I'm not yet doing any conversion. In fact, I've never even tested past the import stage (I just had an exit in there). The meat is really in the 4th patch. The rename of MetadataReader->Connection was because the Connection is now really providing

[ESX support] Working ESX conversion for RHEL 5
With this patchset I have successfully[1] imported a RHEL 5 guest directly from ESX with the following command line: virt-v2v -ic 'esx://yellow.marston/?no_verify=1' -op transfer RHEL5-64 Login details are stored in ~/.netrc Note that this is the only guest I've tested against. I haven't for example, checked that I haven't broken Xen imports. Matt [1] With the exception of
