[PATCH v3 4/8] mllib: Add some imperative list manipulation functions.
This adds imperative list manipulation functions inspired by Perl.
The functions are passed list refs which get updated in place.
This allows us to replace some awkward pure functional code like:
let xs = ys in
let xs = if foo then xs @ zs else xs in
with:
let xs = ref ys in
if foo then append xs zs;

[PATCH 0/3] common/mlstdutils: Add Std_utils List and Option modules.
In Std_utils we already extend Char and String. These commits take it
a little further by extending List and adding a new Option submodule.
All basically simple refactoring.

QR-decomposition using the base package vs. Matrix package
I need to perform a QR-decomposition of a sparse matrix, so I've been
trying to use the Matrix package. Unfortunately I don't seem to be getting
exactly the same results as if I had used the qr() command from the base
package. Here is an example of what I'm doing.
> spdata <-rpois(50,1)
> y <- rnorm(10,0,1)
> S <-

[PATCH v6 04/41] mllib: Split ‘Common_utils’ into ‘Std_utils’ + ‘Common_utils’.
The new module ‘Std_utils’ contains only functions which are pure
OCaml and depend only on the OCaml stdlib. Therefore these functions
may be used by the generator.
The new module is moved to ‘common/mlstdutils’.
This also removes the "<stdlib>" hack, and the code which copied the
library around.
Also ‘Guestfs_config’, ‘Libdir’ and ‘StringMap’ modules are moved
since these are

Anyone using Active Driectory auth with Centos 5.4.....?
Setting up a new backuppc for a small group of device and I am running
centos 5.4 with winbind setup and working. Everything is working and I
would like the users to authenicate using their AD creds and was wondering
what folks are using to do that with apache 2.2 and centos 5.4. I know
about mod_auth_pam but that seems pretty dead so I was just wondering what
folks were using and whats the

[LLVMdev] DebugInfo: Missing non-trivially-copyable parameters in SelectionDAG
This is a bit premature to be considered a code review, but given how
unfamiliar I am with SelectionDAG (& that I'm seeing somewhat more
'interesting' results compared to my change to FastISel) I wanted to
get a bit of feedback to see if I was on the right track or had missed
any obvious cases.
I've attached my patch in progress (including a modification to the
existing test

[PATCH v7 00/13] Refactor utilities
This is just the utilities part of the patch series from:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-June/msg00103.html
I believe this addresses everything raised in comments on that
patch series.

[PATCH 00/12] Refactor utility functions.
This turned out to be rather more involved than I thought.
We have lots of utility functions, spread all over the repository,
with not a lot of structure. This moves many of them under common/
and structures them so there are clear dependencies.
This doesn't complete the job by any means. Other items I had on my
to-do list for this change were:
- Split up mllib/common_utils into:

[PATCH v2 3/4] common/mlstdutils: Introduce Option submodule.
Inspired by ocaml-extlib, introduce a module for handling option
types.
We already had the ‘may’ function (which becomes ‘Option.may’). This
adds also ‘Option.map’ (unused), and ‘Option.default’ functions.
Note this does *not* introduce the unsafe ‘Option.get’ function from
extlib.

A slight weird diversion
Hi Folks,
This is a totally off-topic diversion that I thought people might find
fun.
I've been working on a small parser framework that I'm integrating into
Obversive to provide code analysis of R scripts and stuff. It is still
a work in progress, but the parser currently can parse R code and
produce an XML output file representing the Abstract Syntax Tree.
I thought it would be

windows 2003 install trhough vnc problem
Hello,
I want to install a 2003 guest on a Debian Etch with xen binary
packages (apt-get install), but through a vnc console (no graphical
interface). So I launch the xm create in an ssh connection, and want
to connect through vnc to complete the installation of windows.
So the domain gets created with xm create but no VNC port is displayed:

Optimization in R
Hi all,
I've been working on improving R's optim() command, which does general purpose
unconstrained optimization. Obviously, this is important for many statistics
computations, such as maximum likelihood, method of moments, etc. I have
focused my efforts of the BFGS method, mainly because it best matches my
current projects.
Here's a quick summary of what I've done:
