Provisioning command line args
Hello, I'm trying to script an installation and can't find the command-line argument to "samba-tool domain provision" to specify the DNS forwarder. I have tried "samba-tool domain provision --help" but I couldn't see such an option there. Does that mean there isn't one ? I also tried to use the "samba-tool --option=option" construct (described on

Jackknife and rpart
Hi, First, thanks to those who helped me see my gross misunderstanding of randomForest. I worked through a baging tutorial and now understand the "many tree" approach. However, it is not what I want to do! My bagged errors are accpetable but I need to use the actual tree and need a single tree application. I am using rpart for a classification tree but am interested in a more unbaised

Reshape, melt and cast query
I have a dataset that is based on crop output for a single crop *sugarcane*...but each observation is further subdivided into 3 kinds of sugarcane i have read the file and have also used melt it to sort it on the basis of *crop group* using melt(sugarcane, m=c("Crop_group")) -> canefile this is how it has cast the data variable value 1 Crop_group Sugarcane

residuals in lmer
Does anyone know how to extract residuals in lmer? Here's the error I get: > crop.lme=lmer(response~variety*irrigation*pesticide+(1|rep)+(1|rep: pesticide)+(1|rep:pesticide:irrigation), crop.data) > qqnorm(crop.lme) Error in qqnorm.default(crop.lme) : y is empty or has only NAs > resid(crop.lme) NULL Thanks! --Jake

Image Crop
I want to make a program that will be able to take an image file and crop a square at a given coordinate value (X,Y). I would tell it the X,Y and the size of the crop ie. 350x350. The X,Y would be the center of the newly created image. Thanks for you help -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Imputing missing values
Dear all, Apologies for this beginner's question. I have a variable Price, which is associated with factors Season and Crop, each of which have several levels. The Price variable contains missing values (NA), which I want to substitute by the mean of the remaining (non-NA) Price values of the same Season-Crop combination of levels. Price Crop Season 10 Rice Summer 12

help

Efficient selection and alteration of dataframe records
Hi All, I am writing a simulation that examines the effects of species extinctions on ecological communties by sequentially removing individuals of a given species (sometimes using weighted probabilities) and replacing the lost individuals with species identities randomly sampled from the remaining individuals. Thus I use two dataframes. One contains all the individuals and their species

I was unable to open this file Bill Venables' excellent "Exegeses on Linear Models" posted at http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/MASS3/Exegeses.ps.gz I'd be very interested in reading it? file_column image versions
does anyone know much about resizing different versions of images with file_column? i tried it and everything works fine, but my question is can you do more than just make sizes with a version of image? i''m working on a photo album and i would like to resize the image to a medium size, but create a thumbnail as well and crop anything left to make the thumbnail a perfect square. --

self-heal not working
Hi, I have a replicat 2 with arbiter GlusterFS 3.8.11 cluster and there is currently one file listed to be healed as you can see below but never gets healed by the self-heal daemon: Brick node1.domain.tld:/data/myvolume/brick /data/appdata_ocpom4nckwru/preview/1344699/64-64-crop.png Status: Connected Number of entries: 1 Brick node2.domain.tld:/data/myvolume/brick

self-heal not working
Hi Ben, So it is really a 0 kBytes file everywhere (all nodes including the arbiter and from the client). Here below you will find the output you requested. Hopefully that will help to find out why this specific file is not healing... Let me know if you need any more information. Btw node3 is my arbiter node. NODE1: STAT: File:

Interactions in a nls model
I am interested in testing two similar nls models to determine if the lines are statistically different when fitted with two different data sets; one corn, another soybean. I know I can do this in linear models by testing for interactions. See Introductory Statistics with R by Dallgaard p212-218 for an example. I have two different data sets I am comparing to lai. ci.re should have very

Sure, it doesn't look like a split brain based on the output: Brick node1.domain.tld:/data/myvolume/brick Status: Connected Number of entries in split-brain: 0 Brick node2.domain.tld:/data/myvolume/brick Status: Connected Number of entries in split-brain: 0 Brick node3.domain.tld:/srv/glusterfs/myvolume/brick Status: Connected Number of entries in split-brain: 0 > -------- Original

self-heal not working
Thanks for the additional hints, I have the following 2 questions first: - In order to launch the index heal is the following command correct: gluster volume heal myvolume - If I run a "volume start force" will it have any short disruptions on my clients which mount the volume through FUSE? If yes, how long? This is a production system that's why I am asking. > --------

file_column Cropping -> image offset information
Hello, I had a problem cropping images with file_column. These are my settings: file_column :image, :magick => { :versions => { :thumb => "80x80>", :medium => "150x150>", :square => { :crop => "1:1", :size => "50x50!" } },

Independent variable dependent on offset in GLMM
Hi! I’m running glmer (lme4) models with biodiversity data and I’m having trouble with understanding/finding information on how the offset() option is implemented. Explicitly, I’m wondering if the offset is only implemented on the dependent variable (as I think it is), or does it also affect independent variables in the model (was told this by a stat guy at our department)? My data is
