I have a little trouble with using dovecot as lmtp and maillists.
I use

info of maillists is store in mysql table, for example:

More Info: Mac permission problems after Debian update
Michael,
Got any solutions to this. We are confronted with the same problem only
SUSE 9.x ,Samba , W200 workstations. Only few of them have this problem.
(exactly as how you describe it).

Clipping of display in Lattice graphics
I'm baffled as to how the Lattice package achieves clipping. Would
someone mind explaining this to me?
Firstly, my attempt using "just" the grid package:
x<-seq(0,3,by=0.3)/2.8
y<-seq(0,1,by=0.1)
grid.newpage()
grid.rect(gp=gpar(fill="pink"))
vp<-viewport(width=0.8, height=0.8)
pushViewport(vp)
grid.rect(gp=gpar(fill="white"))
grid.xaxis()

Lower-case filenames on receiver side
Hi everybody,
i've been using rsync for quite some time to sync files between my
laptop and my desktop
for example i use the following to backup the music library (from Mac
to Linux)
> rsync -rvzu --exclude=.DS_Store --delete --exclude 'Podcasts/*'
> $LOCAL_MUSI $REMOTE_MUSIC >> $LOGFILE
An odd thing i always noticed is that some files were always copied,

TFTP problems on FC4
Greetings to all.
I am hoping someone can help me out with a problem I am having getting my
Cisco phones, 7960s and 7940s, to download the appropriate files from our
TFTP server. The TFTP server is running on Fedora Core 4.
The TFTP server appears to be setup properly:

Colours for sunflowerplot
Dear fellow R users,
I would like to draw a "sunflowerplot" because I have data (decade by
month) that plots multiple times on the same x-y co-ordinates. Further I
would like to colour each of the points/sunflower leaves on the plot
according to the group they belong to (i.e. which type of event each
represents within that decade and month). I thought that this would be
relatively

Lattice::bwplot unexpected behaviour when using vector of colors
Hi,
I'm trying to produce colored boxplots using lattice::bwplot function. I need to plot each boxplot in the panel with a specific color. Naturally I used a vector of colors and expected to see colored boxplots. Although the boxplots were colored, the color of whiskers and the boxes do not match. Here is an example:
d = data.frame(y = rnorm(100), x=1:4)
box.color <-

double buffering in windows() not working
I have doubled buffered animations that I show in class.
They used to work but now flash.
The default windows() option is buffered = TRUE.
Just in case, I tried using windows( buffered = TRUE)
but this made no difference.
I am not sure when the change occurred.
An older R2.11 version in one class room worked.
R2.14.1, R2.14.2 and R2.15 don't work on my computer.
Some of the animations

metaflac --show-all-tags (patch)
Hi folks,
I always wondered why there is no "metaflac --show-all-tags", in
parallel to --remove-all-tags. Attached you can find a patch for
your consideration. Sample output:
% metaflac --show-all-tags *.flac

Updates for xlsReadWrite (1.5.3) and xlsReadWritePro (1.6.1/3)
The xlsReadWrite[Pro] packages allow to natively read/write Excel files (.xls)
on the Win 32-bit platform.
About a week ago new package versions have been released:

Can't connect to a win2k system.
I've been using samba for sharing files on my Linux box. This works quite
well, but I'm having some problems accessing a share on my Win2k box:

Ranked predictor and response variable analysis
Hello,
I have an experimental design where I would like to use separate ranking
events to predict an independent ranking event. I have been using function
clmm in the ordinal library but now realize that I am violating one of the
assumptions. I have included a subset of the data.
I am looking at how undergraduate students perceive the architecture and
biological correctness of box and arrow

Grid newbie: aligning & scaling viewports
Oh Knowledgeable Ones:
I'm working on a project using grid graphics (for the first time). A toy
example is given below, run it simply with >foobar() I am wondering why the
pink dot and concentric circles are not centered on the 3-color axis system.
Further, I feel like the concentric circles don't have the intended radius -
if my math is right, the outmost circle should touch the
