Using tcltk or other graphical widgets to view zoo time series objects
Dear all,
I am looking at the R-help entry below:
http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/Rhelp02/archive/26640.html
I have a more complicatedt problem. I have a zoo time series frame with
100+ sequences.
I want to cycle through them back and forth and compare them to the 1st
column at any time.
I need also a button to click when I need the viewed-selected sequence

Updated CFLAGS patches and make test compilation conditional
Hi Erik,
I've found a middleground for the problem of setting default CFLAGS. I've gone back
to setting them if {C,CXX,CPP,LD}FLAGS are unset at the onset of the configure script
(i.e., the user hasn't specified anything) and then proceed to set them to the defaults
as before. This has been suggested before:

'init.win' error when installing from source
Dear R People:
I'm installing R 2-.15.1 on a Windows 32 bit machine from source.
I'm getting a strange error about init.win (please see below)
Does this look familiar to anyone, please?
Thanks,
Erin

Upstreaming Gentoo patches
Dear FLAC devs,
I would like to get some of our patches merged into master. Most
of them deal with adhering to GNU conventions, respectively not
overriding flags/variables that are up to the user to set. For instance,
honoring $(htmldir) is important, as we have installation paths for the
documentation that differ from what is currently coded in the various
Makefile.am's.

config.site settings for M3 Mac typo in manual?
I've just upgraded to an M3 Mac laptop, and I'm working through getting
the right configure settings to build R.
The Installation and Administration manual says to have this in config.site:
FFLAGS="-g -O2 -mmacos-version-min=11.0"
FCFLAGS="-g -O2 -mmacos-version-min=11.0"
but those give an error on my system, with it suggesting the FFLAGS and

Exchanging zoo object dates
Hi,
I have two zoo objects (time series of same frequency) say A and B. I
need to exchange A's dates for B's.
Is there and easy way?
I managed to do it by converting A to a vector and pasting it on a zoo
vector (all ones) with B's dates but I wonder if there is an easier way
by some "zoo" command I have overlooked...
Thanks in advance,
Costas

I have been able to build R-2.9.2 on AIX 6.1 and AIX 5.2. However, I

OpenBLAS in everyday R?
Hi R-devel list,
OpenBLAS is readily available for unix-likes:
https://cloud.r-project.org/web/packages/gcbd/vignettes/gcbd.pdf
However, my questions are:
1) Would R-devel consider using OpenBLAS for the main distribution of R for
all platforms including Windows?
2) If so, would R-devel set the default multi-thread level to the number of
(real) cores on a machine?
My sense is there're a

Multiple -g flags in R CMD SHLIB
Does anybody know why two "-g" flags appear in the call to gcc in R CMD
SHLIB
Example:
gcc -std=gnu99 -I/usr/share/R/include -DNDEBUG -fpic *-g* -O2
-fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -Wformat
-Werror=format-security -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 *-g* -c c_file1.c -o
c_object1.o
Surely it need only be listed once?
