Análisis de imágenes en R
Buenas dias a tod@s,

Optional libraries (libtiff, etc) not found
I installed the (binary) biOps package, which can use libtiff and libfftw.
Then I used macports to install the libraries (in /opt/local/lib). But I
restart R and biOps still does not see the libraries.
I've tried adding symbolic links from /opt/local/lib to /usr/local/lib, I've
added /opt/local/lib to LIBRARY_PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and
DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH, and it doesn't work.
Do you

display SVG, PNG, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PPM in new plot frame
Dear R-help
I want to display an image file in a new plot frame.
SVG is my preferred format, but I can also consider
PNG, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, and PPM (from ImageMagick).
By way of background (although not material to this
posting), the image file is generated by a call to
'dot' (part of the 'Graphviz' suite) after the required
.dot file has been produced using hand-crafted R code.

reading jpeg images?
Can someone advise me what the most sensible way is to read jpeg images?
For our work with image analysis and eye-tracking we have been using the
rimage package, on both Macs and Windows PCs. But while setting up a new
Windows machine yesterday, I see that rimage is regarded as orphaned, and no
Windows binary is available. I eventually found an old zip file for the
package, so I

readJPEG function cannot open jpeg files
I installed jpeg package and tried to use
kim<-readJPEG("kim.jpeg") to read in a jpeg file, but R gave me an error:
Error in readJPEG("kim.jpeg") : unable to open kim.jpeg
I already put "kim.jpeg" in Rstudio's default working directory: "E:\home
work\Rstudio". So I don't think it's a problem caused by omitting the file's
path. But I

integration problem with gamma function
Dear R-list members,
I have a problem with translating a mathematica script into R. The whole
script is at the end of the email (with initial values for easy
reproduction) and can be pasted directly into R. The problematic part
(which is included below of course) is

Weird Mongrel error: Not starting.
Hi list,
I have a problem with Mongrel which is really bugging me. I would really
appreciate any help that anyone can provide to help me in solving this
problem.
1. My setup:
Apache front_end with mod_proxy_balancer in front of 4 mongrel/rails
instances of my application.
Rails 1.2.5
Ruby 1.8.6
Mongrel 1.1.1
2. I noticed that the CPU consumption on my server was 100% being consumed

Issue with seek() on gzipped connections in R-devel
Dear all,
In R-devel (2011-09-23 r57050), I'm running into a serious problem
with seek()ing on connections opened with gzfile(). A warning is
generated and the file position does not seek to the requested
location. It doesn't seem to occur all the time - I tried to create a
small example file to illustrate it, but the problem didn't occur.
However, it can be seen with a file I use for

Replacing an instruction in a post-RA pass
I'm writing a pass that looks at the operands of certain non-commutable
instructions and swaps a couple of them if certain conditions exist (a
register bank conflict in the instruction). If the conflict exists, I build
a new instruction which has the 2nd and 3rd operands swapped (using
BuildMI). Then I want to get rid of the original instruction. I had done
some searching and found that

Asking Favor For the Script of Median Filter
Hello, everybody. My name is Chuan Zun Liang. I come from Malaysia. I am just

Mongrel not starting: `initialize_without_backlog'': Cannot assign requested address - bind(2) (Errno::EADDRNOTAVAIL)
Hi
I have a rather strange problem with mongrel and I would be grateful if
anyone could assist me with resolving.
I have an application running mongrel 1.1.1 and rails 1.2.5 with ruby 1.8.6.
It was all working fine and starting as expected. But I did a server reboot
once and mongrel has refused to start up since. I get the following error:

[LLVMdev] How to use LLVM optimizations with clang
Hi Shahzad,

sure, try this:
gcc -fplugin=path/dragonegg.so ...other_options_here... -S -o -
-fplugin-arg-dragonegg-emit-ir -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-llvm-ir-optimize=0 | opt
-pass1 -pass2 ...
Here -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-emit-ir tells it to output LLVM IR rather than
target assembler.

this won't work because you aren't passing the IR to opt (you need -o - for
that if using a pipe) and you

Automatically install package dependencies
Hi,
I have a R Package. It is working, but I can't that it install the

[LLVMdev] How to use LLVM optimizations with clang
Thanks alot Chad for quick response. Does this means that, we can not
use LLVM optimizations except O1, O2, O3, O4 and unroll-loops with
clang?
One more thing I would like to know that If I want to process multiple
modules with opt at the same time like
opt -adce *.bc
then how is it possible with opt in one go, if I process all the
bytecode files within Makefile.
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] How to use LLVM optimizations with clang
Hello
I need some help here please.
If we compile source files directly in to native code:
$ clang -O3 -lm *.c
then the runtime is like following
real 0m2.807s
user 0m2.784s
sys 0m0.012s
and If we emit LLVM bytcode and apply optimizations
$ clang -O3 -c -emit-llvm *.c
$ llvm-link *.o -o comb.ll
$ time lli ./comb.ll
then the runtime is
real 0m2.671s
user 0m2.640s
sys 0m0.020s
