testing tokenizers
Hi,
is there a way to test tokenizers? I mean, I want to give input stream
and see the output tokens.
AND is there a way to see an indexed document''s index tokens? Which
words in the document are used to index this document?
Thanks in advance

Ignore apostrophes in words
Hi, I just started using ferret and the aaf plugin and it seems to work
quite nicely. However, my fields are very short (titles of music) and I
don''t think may users will be typing in apostrophes when they are
looking for something. Right now, for a simple document such as "what
i''ve done" I''d like it to be indexed as "what ive done" instead. Right

How to do case-sensitive searches
Forgive me if this topic has already been discussed on the list. I
googled but couldn''t find much. I''d like to search through text for
US state abbreviations that are written in capitals. What is the best
way to do this? I read somewhere that tokenized fields are stored in
the index in lowercase, so I am concerned that I will lose precision.
What is the best way to store a

1.0-test12
http://dovecot.org/test/
- "Maildir sync: UID < next_uid (446 < 447, file = .." errors should
be fixed
- fixes for detecting changes in uidvalidity and external uidnext
changes
- several fixes and cleanups in index file handling. less code than
before and now changes to index header also go through transaction log.
that should mean that soon I can get mmap_disable = yes

Patch for zero content-length
mbox-index.c uses a zero content length as a flag for an invalid
Content-Length: header. Unfortunately zero is also a valid value for
Content-Length. The patch below attempts to address the problem.

text search engine ?
Hi there,
What are you using for text search engine in your rails applications ?
I have been using simple search for simple applications, but then I
need to search text in model instances inside collections such as
user.documents and the like. I believe that simple search does not
support any sort of ranged queries, and sql like might be overkill for
tables with lots of records.

CPU Temprature
Hi;
While using xen-3.0.2 with 2.6.16.28 kernel CPU (Intel(R) Pentium(R) M
processor 1.73GHz) temprature is inreasing up to 104 C
(/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/trip_points reports 105 C is critical for CPU)
while idle or no domU working with very low system load, and if i
start to use domU, sometimes system freezes or reboots for heat.
But the same kernel just without Xen works normally and

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix free space cache when there are pinned extents and clusters
I noticed a huge problem with the free space cache that was presenting as an
early ENOSPC. Turns out when writing the free space cache out I forgot to take
into account pinned extents and more importantly clusters. This would result in
us leaking free space everytime we unmounted the filesystem and remounted it. I
fix this by making sure to check and see if the current block group has a
cluster

[PATCH V2] Btrfs: add direct I/O helper to process inline compressed extents.
Use access_extent_buffer_page() to point at btree location of
inline compressed data so it can be inflated without a memcopy.

understanding session fixation attacks
is there a way that, our application can understand wheteher the session id
sent from the browser is forged or created by rails? I understand that if
the attacker guesses session id, theres nothing we can do about it; but can
we understand if he/she is trying to guess by creating random session ids.

Dovecot crashes on certain spam messages
Dovecot crashes. I think it's because of some message in my spam
folder. It has happened once before, and that time I solved it by
deleting that folder. It happens when I start gnus ("Checking messages
in folder spam" or something like that), which makes gnus just stop,
or when I try to enter that folder in mutt.

Data.frames can not hold objects...What can be done in the following scenario?
R-Help community,
I understand that data.frames can hold elements of type double, string
etc but NOT objects (such as a matrix etc). This is not convenient for
me in the following situation. I have a function that takes 2 inputs
and returns a vector:
testfun <- function (x,y) seq(x,y,1)
I have a data.frame defined as follows:
testframe<-data.frame(xvalues=c(2,3),yvalues=c(4,5))
I would

In-band user data
Hi,
I'm moving my "metadata" which accompanies some of the speech packets
into the speex bits. However, as usual, I'm a bit confused.
The manual (PDF from current SVN), section 5.10 (bottom of page 21)
states that:
"Finally, applications may define custom in-band messages using mode 13.
The size of the message in bytes is encoded with
5 bits, so that the decoder can

Various uidlist and index errors with 1.1 on NFS
Two nights ago I took a leap and extended my testing of dovecot 1.1 by
replacing 1.0 for the approx 15 users I had on 1.0. At that time I also
for the first time tried dovecot 1.1 in a load balanced 2 server configuration
with indexes on NFS. I was hoping I did this right, using the mail_nfs params
and 1.1 so fchown etc would flush the access cache, but I am getting a number
of messages and

Problems using GFS2 and clustered dovecot
I am trying to use dovecot. I've got a GFS2 shared volume on two servers
with dovecot running on both. On one server at a time, it works.
The test I am trying is to attach two mail programs (MUA) via IMAPS
(Thunderbird and Evolution as it happens). I've attached one mail
program to each IMAPS server. I am trying to move emails around in one
program (from folder to folder), and then
