list.files(getwd()) and list.files(getwd(), full.names=TRUE) appear to return directory names
Is there any way to make list.files(getwd()) or list.files(getwd(),full.names=TRUE) stop returning directories?
Right now both appear to return both file names and folders within the location.
I would like for it only to return file names and not folders.
I am using this on Windows with R version 2.9.0 (2009-04-17).
Thank you again for all your help and any feedback.

Building a custom Windows installer
Dear r-devel list members,
It's been several years since I last built a custom Windows installer for R,
and despite my notes and the instructions in Sections 3.1.7 and D.4 of the R
Installation and Administration Manual, I've run into a problem, receiving
the following error message:

file.info returning NA
Windows 7, R-2.11.1 and R-2.12.0beta
When I do
file.info(list.files(getwd()))
I get what I expect, a dataframe with a lot of variables,
especially isdir, which tells me if the named object
is a file or a directory.
In the result of
file.info(list.files(paste(R.home(),"library",sep="/")))
all variables have only NA values, even when I start R
in elevated mode.

Comments requested on "changedFiles" function
In a number of places internal to R, we need to know which files have
changed (e.g. after building a vignette). I've just written a general
purpose function "changedFiles" that I'll probably commit to R-devel.
Comments on the design (or bug reports) would be appreciated.
The source for the function and the Rd page for it are inline below.

Could you help me in getting a package to compile from source in Windows?
I'm running Windows NT 4.0 on a pentium 450 with 128 Mb of Ram. I've got R

I am developing a package for R which includes a bit of C code. I have things
working in Unix just fine, and now I want to port it to Windows NT.
I've been following the instructions in the R complements to Venables and

Getting rid of for loops
Hello R-users!
I have a style question. I know that for loops are somewhat frowned upon in
R, and I was trying to figure out a nice way to do something without using
loops, but figured that i could get it done quickly using them. I am now
looking to see what kind of tricks I can use to make this code a bit more
aesthetically appealing to other R users (and learn something about R along

R compilation error on Solaris
Hello...
I tried to compile an R addon package, R/qtl on a Solaris machine and
I get this error. I know that R/qtl complies correctly on other
platforms (Windows, Mac, Linuxes, etc), so I am wondering what the
problem might be.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Saunak

help files for libraries that aren't in the defaults library tree
Hello,
I created a library for a bunch of functions that I use frequently
so that I dont have to carry duplicate copies around to wherever I fire
up an R sesssion. However, I have problems locating the help files
for those functions. Here are some details.
I created the library "myR" and installed this in /home/royle/R
using:
R INSTALL -l /home/royle/R /home/royle/Rpackages/myR

bug in Rf_PrintValue ?
I'm very green with R, so maybe this is not a bug, but it looks like one to
me. The following program segfaults at the second call to Rf_PrintValue().
To failure depends on the value of the y-string. E.g., if I change it from
"coverage" to, say, "COVERAGE", the segfault does not occur.
/* bug.c */

#include <Rinternals.h>
