any one knowing how to install library (equate)?
I was told to go to packages on the tool bar and select 'install packages'.
Then choose library (equate).
My R is version 2.11. I tried multiple times with different locations of R
within US. Yet, I didn't see library(equate) being offered in the packages.
Thanks.

LOOping problem with R
Dear Guys,
I do converting codes from Fortran into R and got stuck in solving LOOPING
procedure with R. In FORTRAN, it is (DO and END DO) for looping in the net.
In R, it is (FOR with { }).
I believe there is something wrong with my coding in R, do hope that you can
help me solving following problems.
It seems easy, but results are not the same.

No keyboard input when running RollerCoaster Tycoon 3
Be forewarned, I am new to Linux. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala). I have installed wine (1.1.38) and I am able to run RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 both with and without a virtual desktop. It runs with no problems except for the fact that it does not receive keyboard commands! I have looked all over the Internet and still have yet to find a solution. Someone help, please!
I haven't

64-bit programming
Has R been ported to 64-bit platforms? E.g. as in FORTRAN when you
define
double precision number as:
REAL*16
I have heard that some SUN computers already offer 64-bit architecture
but I am unsure
about the GNU support for that hardware. I am seeking increased
accuracy in floating
point operations.

I get the error with and without the --with-f2c option. I never used the

I'm not getting the error with the configure script (on Kain, anyway).
I've tried it with --with-f2c and with f96 (NAG Fortran compiler) in and
out of my $PATH.
Can you verify that the configure script works for you without the
--with-f2c option?

Frequency tables.
Hi All,
I'm a SAS user but I'm very much interested in learning R.
I use ODS system in SAS to make nice frequency tables. Is it possible to
export the output of table() [in TABULAR FORM]? So, that I can use those
directly for publications? Thank you.

Memory usage bar plot
Hi,
I haven't tried the code yet. Is there a way to parse this data
using R and create bar plots so that each program's 'RAM used' figures are
grouped together.
So 'uuidd' bars will be together. The data will have about 50 sets. So if
there are 100 processes each will have about 50 bars.
What is the recommended way to graph these big barplots ? I am looking

Help needed! Error in setwd(newdir) : cannot change working directory
Hi Guys,
I am new to R and just trying to write a small script to automate a couple commands. But I run into the setwd(): cannot change working directory.
I googled a little bit and tried all fixes/suggestions with no success.
Basically I have a script that works from inside a directory with my data (/home/sean/Rtest/Data01). Now I want to modify the script to make it run from the upper directory

aov help
Please pardon an extremely naive question. I see related earlier
posts, but no responses which answer my particular question. In
general, I'm very confused about how to do variance decomposition with
random and mixed effects. Pointers to good tutorials or texts would
be greatly appreciated.
To give a specific example, page 193 of V&R, 3d Edition, illustrates
using raov assuming pure

How to combine data columns to a single column
Dear users,
I have several columns of data (each column containing monthly data for a
particular year from january - december) . I would wish to combine the
columns to get a Single column of continuous data as shown in (b) below. I
have read this data as table in R

[LLVMdev] Atomic operations: minimal or maximal?
Looking through the various architectures, it seems that the minimal
approach to atomic intrinsics isn't necessarily the best.
If we assume CAS and atomic add, then we can implement atomic N, where
n is some other operation with a loop. however, for the ll/sc
architectures, this will lower into a double loop (the outer loop of
load-op-CAS and the CAS loop. On such archs, the atomic op can
