finding a faster way to run lm on rows of predictor matrix
Hi, everyone. I need to run lm with the same response vector but with varying predictor vectors. (i.e. 1 response vector on each individual 6,000 predictor vectors) After looking through the R archive, I found roughly 3 methods that has been suggested. Unfortunately, I need to run this task multiple times(~ 5,000 times) and would like to find a faster way than the existing methods. All three

Load average on machine 400+
Hi all, Over the past week our mail server which NFS mounts the /home directory for mail has been experiencing major load issues. When doing a 'top', it appeared that slapd was the culprit (we use LDAP for authentication), but after upgrading the system and updating ldap, the cpu usage for LDAP has gone down, but the load average as not. I'm using Maildir. Everything from /home

[LLVMdev] Building LLVM 2.7 on OpenSolaris
The build process fails to link the LLVM tools. Specifically, the first tool to build is 'opt' which results in 700+ undefined symbols. I looked into the Makefiles and found that the "LINK_COMPONENTS" make variable does not get the correct set of libraries. In fact, at the top level Makefile.rules, the variable is set to "support system", however, these do not

FC : A MLIR+LLVM based Fortran front end
Hi- In August we made an announcement of "FC: A new fortran front end" [1]. At that time to get an end-to-end solution, we made FC to emit LLVM IR directly. At present, we have upgraded FC to emit MLIR. Currently the language supported is close to Fortran-95. Apart from 400+ unit test cases, out framework passes two SPEC-2017 benchmarks successfully. Currently we are cleaning up the

Thanks Peter
Dear Peter, first: thanks for the very prompt reply, I am not sure I would like to download 400+ meg file on my 56k modem though. Can that CD be purchased on line? Maybe some background here is needed: I am using SuSE Linux 6.4 and dual booting with windows 95 using LILO. I have found SuSE to be the easiest to mod so I would rather work with those files. There are quite large

Software RAID on CentOS 4
All this talk about SATA RAID in the past few days made me wonder... about possibly using software RAID, or at least trying it on my own workstations and eventually production servers, after I learn more about it. So, I started googling for tutorials and manuals, and there are usually two kinds I can find: 1. very basic "what is software RAID", or 2. complete 400+ page books on the

FC : A MLIR+LLVM based Fortran front end
Agreed! Is the code already available? What are your plans for it, and are you interested in collaboration with the rest of the LLVM community? -Chris > On Jan 11, 2020, at 11:58 AM, Finkel, Hal J. via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > > Hi, Prashanth, > > That's great news! Ubuntu 18.04 bionic: availability of R Ubuntu packages/ppa?
Hi I just upgraded to the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, and tried to add both the "Ubuntu packages" source as well as ppa. I was not able to do this, trying to add for example: deb http://cran.cnr.berkeley.edu/bin/linux/ubuntu bionic/ or using: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:marutter/c2d4u am I doing something wrong, or just being impatient? Are there any plans to build these repos in the near

Asterisk to Cisco's Rescue...again...Authenticate LD Calls
Hi All, Just wanted to share a story: We turned up a new customer yesterday evening, typical situation, Cisco 2600 Router with T1 PRI card pointed to the customer's analog PBX with 2 data T1's linked back to our network. The router PRI was configured as a gateway on our CCM 4, like we've done numerous times in the past. The customer needed LD Authorization codes enabled, got

Help please
Hi, My PBX/key system failed when building power was switched off and then back on. The service rep says the PBX unit is so old that it is not repairable. The unit has 8 incoming POTS lines and 12 multiline sets. There are voice mailboxes on each line. Switching to Qwest's Centrex system would cost about $3800/yr. My 8 business lines now cost $3320/yr, so the Centrex increment would

Looking for tor users experiencing crashes
I've had an informal, third or fourth hand report of kernel instability when running Tor under load on unidentified versions of FreeBSD. Obviously, this is a bit vague as bug reports go, but I'm interested in seeing if anyone has had real experience with this happening, and might be interested in helping to track it down. If there are kernel crashes, I'm specifically looking for

I actually run a in-house Phabricator instance with 400+ users and multiple git repo including custom extension developments I also follow the Phabricator development quite closely because we upgrade every couple of weeks I’d be more than happy to help maintain the phab instance for LLVM MyDeveloperDay On Fri, 31 May 2019 at 09:19, Manuel Klimek via llvm-dev < llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org>
