rpmforge/dag's perl-Apache-ASP
Has anyone actually had any success in installing the perl-Apache-ASP package from rpmforge? CentOS 4 seems to have just the right combination of almost using mod_perl 2 (1.99 before major API changes) to make this extremely hard to get right while staying with somewhat standard packages. I suspect it's in the repo but not actually tested, as I've tried quite a few combinations of

Netatalk and Samba???
Hi all, Looking for a "best practices" way to share out to both Mac and PC easily. I know Windoze enables the same sharepoint for both the mac and pc shares and there don't seem to be any real "problems" by doing that. However I work in an environment which forces us to utilize Win9x through XP as well as OS 9 through 10.x on the mac side. I need a user friendly way to

2TB limit, weird mounting issues on reboot
Greetings, I'm seeing some weird issues surrounding the 2 terabyte limit on my 3ware (9590SE, PCI Express model) raid controller. Currently, the raid array is 6 x 500GB disks for a total of around 2.3 terabytes formatted. Looking at the documentation on the 3ware site, the raid card can handle a single partition over 2TB, but it still looks like fdisk fails to create a primary partition over

win32:tenga on samba share
I have a box set up for home use, but it was used as a massive file share for a bunch of friends. I only allowed 3 accounts to this share with password. I believe over time someone loaded a file that had the win32:Tenga virus on it. I usually clean the files and download what I need but I leave the files on the Share. I have lots of directories and files on this. I have been using Trend Micro

Scripting port scans
Hi, I need to test one specific port on a serie of Ip addresses that I own, I thought about using nmap or telnet, but both return the same value, no matter if the port is open or filtered. Anyone has an idea, before I start scripting to analyse the output of the command? Regards, Ugo

Apache 2.2X
Hello All. I am trying to set up a rails+mongrel+mod_proxy_balance application. Unfortunately the stock apache install on centos is the 2.0 series which does not support mod_proxy_balance. I could not find the 2.2X RPMs on dag or dries either. Is there a yummy way to upgrade to the 2.2 series of apache? I tried with the individual RMPS but no joy there due to comples web of dependencies.
