Rails development on Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
Hi all,
I would like to start a thread on RoR related issues on the new Intel
version of Mac OS X. I have been using Apple''s new iMac Core Duo
(which comes with Intel version of Mac OS X) for about a week now.
Here''s my experience:
Ruby 1.8.4: It compiles albeit with many warnings. Most warnings
were about "differ in signedness". It seems to work okay

Help....package "GPLOTS" will not install. Linux
Hello,
Apologies in advance if this is not the appropriate forum for this post.
My problem is I'm not able to install the package "GPLOTS". Below are
the outputs for the commands: sessionInfo() and
install.packages("gplots",dependencies=TRUE).
It seems the package "GDATA" is part of the problem but I'm not an
expert in this. The "GDATA" package

RE: wxRuby
STEVE: Yes, wxRuby is being used on OS X. The wxRuby-user''s ML is the best
place to go for help. I''ll cross post this and any responses if you don''t
want to subscribe.
WXRUBY-USERS: Steve is the guy who is working on the One-Click Ruby
Installer for OS X. Can anyone spot what his problem is here?
Thanks,

RSPerl & OS X
Hi,
I'm wanting to call R from Perl via the RSPerl package. However I cannot
seem to install it on my Macbook (OS X Tiger - R 2.6 - Perl 5.8.6). I try to
install the source downloaded from the sigmahat website - but it seems to
fail - when I search my system for R.pm - I can't find it? Something looks
to be going wrong with the make bits?
Cheers

Building wxruby-swig for Mac
0.0.5 sure gets the Mac build a lot further.
There''s a bug in the wxMac-2.4.2 distribution that I''m running into:
wx-config wants to invoke a program in the source directory at link
time. That''s ugly in itself, but it tries to use a variable
${top_srcdir} to accomplish this, and it''s apparently empty. It tries
