PostgreSQL 8.1.4 in the Testing repository
All,
We have a PostgreSQL 8.1.4 in the testing repository. Would everyone
who has used it / is using it please reply to this thread. We want to
move this to CentOSPlus (this version has been in has been in testing
since May, and a version 8 has been in testing since Dec of last year).
The repo file is here for testing:

CentOSPlus: What happened to Postgresql?
I've been using Postgresql 8.1 on CentOS X86/64 for a about a month, but the
RPMs seem to have vanished from CentOS Plus!
Are these to no longer be supported?

PostgreSQL 8.2?
I've been using RPMs for PG 8.1 from CentosPlus for some time now. I've been
very happy with them, and they've been wonderfully stable.
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/x86_64/RPMS/
But now 8.2 is out. Are there any plans to support PG 8.2 in CentosPlus, or
should I go ahead with RPMS directly from PG?

centosplus + priority plugin
I have a Centos 4 box that has been updated all the way to 4.6 without
using the centosplus repository.
Now I want to use the centosplus repository for Centos 4 to get the
latest LAMP, mod_perl, perl and other perl modules so that I can install
rt 3.6.6 and its necessary modules.
However, for some reason, the latest perl package in the centosplus
repository does not appear on the radar when

yum 2.4 for CentOS-3 i386/x86_64 (CENTOSPLUS only)
Hi,
yum-2.4 and required dependancies for CentOS-3 are now available for i386 and
x86_64 in the centosplus repository.
The default version still is 2.0, nothing changes for those who don't want/need
the new features (for example: fastestmirror, priorities and protectbase).
For those who don't want to update to yum-2.4 but still use the centosplus
repository, add to your /etc/yum.conf

Can't find repository for centosplus
While trying to get my SD card reader to work with CentOS, it was
recommended to me that I update to the centosplus kernel.
I attempted to do so using yum, as was recommended, but I
encountered the following error:
[root at localhost ~]# yum --enablerepo=centosplus update kernel

Status of PostgreSQL and PHP in Testing
Dear CentOS developers
I would like to have ask some questions about the PostgreSQL and PHP
packages in the current Testing repository for CentOS 5.
In http://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/TestingRepo there is a note, that the
testing period is about 3 weeks. Currently, the PostgreSQL and PHP
packages in http://dev.centos.org/centos/5/testing/SRPMS were created in
September 08.

postgresql-tcl-8.1.15-1.el4s1.1 in CentOSPlus (4) -- build error
Whoever is building this RPM needs to check his/her build logs. The
pkgIndex.tcl in /usr/lib/Pgtcl is not being built properly! The
pkg_mkIndex procedure does not always throw an obvious error --
sometimes it just does not create the 'package ifneeded ...' line(s),
and just quietly skips a package. Something is broken in the build
process. Both the version above (which I just

New mysql for the CentOSPlus repository includes mysql-cluster
CentOS has been distributing the Enterprise version of MySQL as part of
our CentOS Web Stack that is in the CentOSPlus repository of CentOS-4
for quite a while.

MySQL has recently changed it's policy concerning the distribution of
it's Enterprise Sources (they no longer distribute them as a tarball):

centosplus and contrib rpms
hi,
it'd be useul if the centosplus and contrib directory can contain a
small readme file or some kind of documentaion about the rpm inside.
currently there is not any kind of such docs (ok johnny send a
description about the kernel rpms, but if someone missed that email). eg
the postfix rpm has the same description and changelog inside the rpm as
the original ones. if someone just look into

Hi Folks,
as you could read in my other posting ("No reiserfs support after
kernel-update") I had problems with reiserfs and the official kernel.
My question: is to expect also an kernel-update from this mentioned centosplus
repository???
Thx

PostgreSQL ActiveRecord default localized date assigned in test env
Hi,
today I''ve configured an XUbuntu as workstation (ok I know...).
Using the following packages to make Rails interact with Postgres:
ii libpgsql-ruby1.8 0.7.1-7
ii postgresql-8.1 8.1.4-0ubuntu1
using rails 1.1.6 from gems.
The problem came up just on the testing environment, when I save a
model I get a:
