svycoxph and test statistics
Hello, I have been using the function 'svycoxph' in the Dr. Lumley's survey package (version 3.26) to compute coefficient estimates for Cox regression. I have noticed the p-values output are based on normal distribution (like in coxph); however in svyglm (and in other software, such as Stata or SAS) the p-values are computed via the t distribution with degrees of freedom equal to the

coxph - weights- robust SE
Hi, I am using coxph with weights to represent sampling fraction of subjects. Our simulation results show that the robust SE of beta systematically under-estimate the empirical SD of beta. Does anyone know how the robust SE are estimated in coxph using weights? Is there any analytical formula for the “weighted” robust SE? Any help is appreciated! Thanks so much in advance Willy

Re : interpretation of coefficients in survreg AND obtaining the hazard function for an individual given a set of predictors
Thanks for sharing the questions and responses! Is it possible to appreciate how much the coefficients matter in one or the other model? Say, using Biau's example, using coxph, as.factor(grade2 == "high")TRUE gives hazard ratio 1.27 (rounded). As clinician I can grasp this HR as 27% relative increase. I can relate with other published results. With survreg the Weibull model gives a

proportion of treatment effect by a surrogate (fitting multivariate survival model)
Dear R-help, I would like to compute the variance for the proportion of treatment effect by a surrogate in a survival model (Lin, Fleming, and De Gruttola 1997 in Statistics in Medicine). The paper mentioned that the covariance matrix matches that of the covariance matrix estimator for the marginal hazard modelling of multiple events data (Wei, Lin, and Weissfeld 1989 JASA), and is implemented

dsync problem: Error: Can't rename mailbox INBOX
Hi all, I'm running two debian machines with dovecot 2.0.9 autobuilds and would like to keep mails synchronized on both via dsync. Mails are kept in maildir on both sides. While syncing, dsync gives the following error: dsync-local(jan.binder): Error: Can't rename mailbox INBOX to INBOX_a432bf2eca595a4dba47000043b078f4: Renaming INBOX isn't supported. dsync-local(jan.binder): Error:

Change include contexts runtime
Hi there How do I change the dialplan runtime, if I for example wants all calls on the main number to be answered by a voicemail (when it is out-of-office hours). I want to be able to change the configuration by pressing a DTMF combination e.g. *82. Can't figure out whether it is necessary to change contexts or how to do it. I have read a lot of examples and config documentation, but I

Pattern matching in extensions.conf
Hello fellow * users Hope this isn't a stupid question; I've done my research but could not find a proper answer. I have 8 different destinations which I want to match. The numbers are: ###### 00 ###### 20 ###### 30 ###### 40 ###### 15 ###### 35 ###### 12 ###### 44 Right now I've solved it by doing this: exten => _######[0234]0,1,HangUp exten => _######[13]5,1,HangUp exten

Relative Risk/Hazard Ratio plots for continuous variables
Dear all, I am using Windows and R 2.9.2 for my analyses. I have a large dataset and I am particularly interested in looking at time to an event for a continuous variable. I would like to produce a plot of log(relative risk) or relative risk (also known as hazard ratio) against the continuous variable. I have spent a long time looking for advice on how to do this but my search has proved

Segmentation fault using "survival" package (PR#2320)
Full_Name: Jerome Asselin Version: 1.6.1 OS: RedHat Linux 7.2 Submission from: (NULL) (142.103.173.179) Hello, I get a segmentation fault when I run the following code. I wouldn't expect meaningful results because my response variable contains only missing values. However, I would expect something like a regular error (not a segmentation fault). library(survival) data <-

R 3.2.2 64 bit compilation error on AIX
Dear list, I'm following the instructions provided here to compile R 64 bit on AIX 6.1. I did export OBJECT_MODE=64 export CC="gcc -maix64 -pthread" export CXX="g++ -maix64 -pthread" export FC="gfortran -maix64 -pthread" export F77="gfortran -maix64 -pthread" export CFLAGS="-O2 -g -mcpu=power6" export FFLAGS="-O2 -g -mcpu=power6"

MusicOnHold and MP3Player not triggering "answer"
Hi I have kind of an odd problem. When dialing in from an outside line via a TE410P card it seems like MusicOnHold and MP3Player doesn't work properly (for me anyway). The remote end which is calling * doesn't hear the music but just keeps ringing. But if I insert a Playback("file_which_dont_exist") just before the Moh or MP3Player I can hear the music. Actually I observed the

I don't think I understand "Call pickup"
I must be getting something wrong about this call pickup. In zapata.conf I have just the default callgroup=1 and pickupgroup=1. If I call from my mobile to * and then try to dial *8 from any other phone than the one which is ringing I just get a "Nothing to pick up" answer on my * console. I also have experimented with those parameters in sip.conf but are not aware of exactly where to

R 3.2.2 64 bit compilation error on AIX
One other note: I'm also using the latest src/main/dcf.c that was giving an issue on AIX previously; see [this](https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2015-September/071781.html) thread. Thanks. Unable to specify hierarchy for data-in-modules
Hello, I''m running Puppet agent stand-alone on Windows. I got data-in-modules working. However, no matter what I put into the module hiera.yaml, I can only override the defaults from common.yaml by osfamily (and not, e.g., by environment). In the setup below the following command outputs: >puppet apply --binder -e "notice lookup (''my_key'')"

segfault with readDCF on R 3.1.2 on AIX 6.1 when using install.packages
Here's an update: I checked the ChangeLog for R, and it seems like readDCF was changed in 3.0.2. I went on a whim and copied src/main/dcf.c from R 2.15.3 over to 3.2.2, and R compiled fine and install.packages now work for me. This is probably not ideal, but it at least makes R usable on AIX for me. Would definitely like to help figure out what's wrong with the new dcf.c on AIX.

segfault with readDCF on R 3.1.2 on AIX 6.1 when using install.packages
Hi, Note that one significant change to read.dcf() that happened since R 3.0.2 is the addition of support for arbitrary long lines (commit 63281), which never worked: dcf <- paste(c("aa: ", rep(letters, length.out=10000)), collapse="") writeLines(dcf, "test.dcf") nchar(read.dcf("test.dcf")) # aa # [1,] 8186 The culprit being line
