Errors when trying to open odfWeave documents
Hello I tried the odfWeave package today, by running the formatting.odt and example.odt files that are included with the package. They both ran fine, but when I try to open them in my OpenOffice (OpenOffice 3.1.1 on Kubuntu 9.10) I get an error "Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 1293,124(row,col)." I also tried to open them in MS Word 2003 (Windows

Wine crashing whole computer (blank screen and stalled when trying to execute prog.)
I just got Wine to work a few days ago after altering the configuration files to correspond with my 8 drives. Now, today I thought of upgrading to a newer version of Wine. Well, the one I downloaded needed glibc 2.2, and I only have 2.1. I didn't feel like downloading it tonight so I just left the RPM file in my directory. Anyway, I tried to launch Winamp with wine and the whole screen

rc7 crashing under heavy load
Help! Our students are back and they are pounding my dovecot server to death (ie "Login process died too early - shutting down" or "too many open files" type crash). I've had my third crash today. My setup: Solaris 10, imap and imaps, 3K users coming in via horde webmail. My current connection settings are: login_max_processes_count = 2048 login_max_connections = 4096

backgroundrb script crashing on startup
Everything works fine on my development box (Ubuntu 7.10, Ruby 1.8.6) but on my server (Fedora Core 6, Ruby 1.8.5) when I run script/backgroundrb start, the process fails to start. This is with Rails 2.0.2 frozen in the app, and I have the most recent version of the plugin (r297). Is Ruby 1.8.6 a requirement for backgroundrb now? I can''t figure any other reason it would fail...

Cron script crashing server...
Hiya, have a bit of an odd problem so looking for thoughts before proceeding any more. Problem is on centos3 (also runs fine on another but fails on another, so not sure this is an issue or not), dual xeon setup. Basically I have a perl script that runs once, first thing every morning, gathering some stats (currently turned off due to problem). Crontab -l shows the following... 00 6 * * * nice

Opaque error message and R GUI crashing while using glmnet
Hello all, I am having trouble with the glmnet package. I used it for the first time last week, after updating R to the current version (2.10.1, running in Windows XP). It seemed to be working fine as I explored what it could do with one of my datasets. A day or two later, using the exact same dataset, it suddenly stopped working. I get the following error every time I try to use glmnet with

LLVM crashing while trying to build SPEC with Clang
Hello, I am building the SPEC 2006 Benchmark with Clang as the compiler. I have written a function pass in LLVM and I am trying to run that for SPEC by invoking the pass in the build options of SPEC. The build options of SPEC are in a *.cfg config file, which allows us to specify the choice of compiler while building SPEC. (https://www.spec.org/cpu2006/Docs/install-guide-unix.html) The pass

Memory Problems when trying to open .exe
Hey guys, sorry if I sound like a total noob here but I'm not used to Macs and I'm getting by the best way I can. I downloaded an .exe file (Microsoft Publisher 2000) and everything worked fine. However, when I go to open the MSPUB.exe file, I get the following error message: "Windows is low on memory, or your hard disk is full. Try closing other programs and freeing up some space on

Re: Memory Problems when trying to open .exe
Hello, was that bug ever filed? If it was, how can I find it? If not, I want to file it myself. I've been using Microsoft Publisher 2000 in Windows, I'm setting up Ubuntu Linux Lucid Lynx, and I'm getting the same message and behavior in Linux that the newbie got in Mac OS.

Error when trying to open Half-Life 1 in Mac OSX
When trying to open Half Life in Wine on a Mac running OSX 10.5.8, the game opens in a 600 x 800 window and flashes for a tenth of a second, goes to white, and displays this error message: [Image: http://files.myfrogbag.com/bfl1o2/error.png ] Clicking "OK" just repeats the process, and clicking "Cancel" exits out of the program. Is there any way I can get Half-Life to

SegFault trying to open Steam
This is very possibly an easy fix, as I've had steam running on this particular box before through wine. However, I've been googling my ass off and looking through the suggested fixes on the appdb to no avail. Let's start with my setup: OS: Slackware 13.37 (64 bit with working multilib) completely up to date Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT running the most recent linux 64 bit

Compatible Players - Windows Media BAD trying to open...
Dihelson, Read my tutorial here: http://www.mcld.co.uk/flatfour/player/about/ I hope it helps! It does exactly what you ask, using Quicktime embedded in a webpage. Our stream is MP3 rather than Ogg but the process should be the same. The only problem is that many people don't have the Ogg codec installed in Quicktime... you'd need to tell them how to install the qt ogg plugin from

uptime=insecurity. Patches must be kept up these days or your uptime won't matter when your server gets compromised.
