Book: Implementing Samba 4
Hi there,
I would like to point out that Pack Publishing released a new book about
Samba 4 available here:
http://www.packtpub.com/implementing-samba-4/book
As is usual for Packt books, it is a practical book and aim to get the
users executing tasks easily/quickly and in an effective manner. I would
say it is not a "Samba Bible" or a "Reference Guide", but should suit new

Author wanted for Dovecot article in Linux Magazine (Germany)
Hi list,
I am an editor at the German Linux Magazine and I am searching for an author or input on Dovecot,
its advantages and especially the recent features. I had organized some authors, but unfortunately
they don't have time right now. :-) Nevertheless I heard many positive comments on Dovecot.
I can write or help writing the article, but I would love to have some input from an

LLVM Book Opportunity
Hi, Matthew, all
nice to hear about interest from Packt Publishing for LLVM
I think there are a lot of professionals in this mailing list, who can be
an author of the book.
But writing a good book demands a lot of time, so that's why there are not
so many responses (and also maybe because of well-formed and updated online
documentation, which can be a good replacement for the book).

AGI Programming
Hi all,
This isn't meant to be spam I thought some of you might find it interesting.
Packt Publishing approached me a few weeks ago and asked if I would like
to review a book or two for them on my blog.
The first one they sent me is called Asterisk Gateway Interface
Programming and has only just been released. It was written by Nir
Simionovich.
You can read my review here:

LLVM Book Opportunity
Hello, Min.
I suppose I should ask you this: what do people need to know before working
with LLVM? Could a book work with that and link it to LLVM specifically?
Thanks,
Matthew

- Relationship of Kamailio to OpenSER project history.
- What is Kamailio/OpenSER?
- SIP proxy

mixed csv and csv2
Dear all,
I have a huge problem after downloading and exporting data from Reuters3000
XTra:
I downloaded many many monthly, quarterly and yearly data. I do not know
why, but after saving, I have mixed-data sets, i.e. files which can be
imported as “read.csv” and others that are in the format of “read.csv2”.
Sure I could change them, but normally it should be possible to mix them…

Authoring a HOWTO
I am in the process of authoring a Samba-LDAP-PDC HOWTO for Mandrake
users that will allow cross platform ( Linux / M$ ) network user
authentication. Lastnight I ran
rpm --rebuild --with ldap samba-2.2.7a-2mdk.src.rpm
and it produced a list of packages that I needed to install in order to
compile this version of samba. I did so but I neglected to write down
the list. I did the install of

I've the following problem:
The below function runs a loop with regression analysis and stores F-Stat
in a matrix. When I call the matrix elements (models[i,j]) in the function
I get proper results, but when I try to call the same elements outside the
function the matrix appears to be empty e.g when I call compt inside the
function I get: 5 but when I call it outside I get: 1. This is the
