VMWare error: Use of uninitialized value in string eq

OT: vmware server not accepting root password?
Sorry for the OT question; I'm hoping someone else has a similar setup and ran into this same problem? For some reason, not sure what I changed, my vmware server is no longer accepting the root login for the management console or web mui interface. I'm certain the password is correct, and I've even reset root's password to make sure. VMware seems to be running ok, I can access

Strange TCP-Problem with GPL PV 0.8.8
Hi all, I have a strange problem with GPL PV 0.8.8 (0.6.4 did work). On my 2nd vif I cannot establish TCP connections. The 3rd IP packet (ACK from XEN-Image) is not forwarded by XEN/DOM0-Bridge. If I boot Windows without /GPLPV option, everything works fine. I did some investigation and found out that the packages arrive differently if GPLPV is enabled. "br_inet" is a bridge

[Bridge] Monitor the status of two ethernet interface

Routing inomcing TightVNC connections?
Hi! I have this rule to allow incoming VNC connections to a host on my private LAN: DNAT net:$SITE1 loc:$JOHN tcp 5900:5910 This works perfectly the host can connect without problems. Would it be possible to link the internal host to an external ip? For example if Site1 would connect on the VNC port, all traffic gets forwarded to loc:$JOHN. But if net:$SITE2 connects

checking CDR
Hello Asterisk Community, Is there a way to check in asterisk cdrs and extension forwarded? I mean, i'm calling to a ISDN number, wich goes to extension 8222, but this extension is forwarded to another one, the problem is that in CDRs i am able to see the the first step of the call, but never see the forwarded extension, how can i do that? Mounting samba shares
Hi, I'm trying to mount samba shares onto the file system, but at the moment i only seem to be able to mount them as root. I've tried changing the permissions on the mount point and even mounting it on a subdir of my home directory but mount just keeps telling me that only root can do this. I've put an entry for the mount in /etc/fstab with the user option, what have i missed? I'm
