smbcontrol
All, I want to be able to disconnect a user from a samba share. I'm using Samba 2.2.8a on Solaris 8. If I'm reading OReilly correctly, I should be able to use smbcontrol with the SMBD process id of the user who has the share mounted. Here's an example: ascmdev nguyenal tcmsdev 5654 orton (158.184.58.145) Tue Dec 9 14:14:10 2003 burkharr burkharr other 26688

Weird problem with parked call expiration
Hi, I am having a very weird problem with call parking. I have defined call parking correctly, as it work well when parking calls and picking them up. The problem is what happens after the the 45 seconds have expired. The behavior wanted is that the person who put the call on "park" is called back after 45 seconds. What ACTUALLY happens is that the phone who got put on park

Follow up on parking
I`m having (a lot of) trouble changing the call parking timeout behavior. This is my SIP context [internal-local-only-hamel] exten => s,1,Hangup include => parkedcalls What I am trying to accomppish is a quick test where I park a call, wait 45 seconds, and it hangs up. Here is my execution in the CLI: == Parked SIP/0004f2134384-1-0943e8a0 on 101 at parkedcalls. Will

7960 Phone disconnects when dialing using speaker
Hi, Just got some CISCO 7960 phones. They seem to work great except if I make any SIP call using the speaker phone (leaving the hand set in the cradle)the call will disconnect in about 5 or so seconds. If I pick up the hand set and make a call, it's fine. Has anyone else run into this ? Any solution ? The phone is on SIP v6.1 - it did the same thing on 4.4 5.0 and 6.0. Thank you in

Hi I read all the HOWTOs I could find on the net about the LDAP PDC and still, I can't get it to work. Here are some infos about the server Samba version 3.0.1pre3 running Redhat 8.0 with a OpenLDAP server version 2.0.27. re: help with voicepulse connect IAX2
hello, after playing with an asterisk configuration for voip for a few weeks i'm trying to get outbound dialing with voicepulse going - i've cut down the asterisk to a very minimal install (1 SIP client) to try to localize the problem. The SIP client works fine (SIP and * on the same NAT) and could access the demo from samples before i removed it, and can call itself - so i am

G726 not working ?
Hi, I am running FC1 with latest patches of 3/30/04, and I have the latest CVS as of this morning 3/30/04 of asterisk, zap and libpri. The SIP device I am using is a Sipura SPA-2000 with G726-32 "Forced". When I 'make clean" and recompiled zaptel, libpri, asterisk and start asterisk I can see: [format_g726.so] [format_g726.so] => (Raw G.726 (16/24/32/40kbps) data) ==

3.0.1rc2 LDAP - problems joining domain
Hi, I'm back on the list ;-) I seem to be having some trouble getting W2K machines to join the domain in 3.0.1rc2. I haven't looked at this in detail since 2.2.8a but it looks like the account gets created in LDAP and then it has trouble setting the password appropriately. I believe this is the relevant part of the log: api_rpcTNP: samr op 0x3a - api_rpcTNP: rpc command:

Beginers Help - Hardware selection
I am new to Asterisk. I am trying to ascertain the hardware setup (and associated cost) I would need. The documentation in the wiki (and elsewhere) is extensive but I am somewhat lost in product model numbers. Hence I need an initial recommandation to work on. 15 incoming lines, 25 employees). Initial scenario is to use * as a plain old PBX. I need voicemail, ability to transfer calls, ... I

Samba NTFS permissions
Hi, I am new to this list. Does samba 3 support ntfs permissions or a way to map them? Creating a share for a user is easy but can you set different file permissions in that share with separate ntfs permissions to give different users permission to different areas of the share? This is on an Active Directory network. Thank you. PS: We are trying to save the state of Wisconsin some money by

tdbsam to ldapsam
System: Sid ; Samba 3.0.0 ; using tdbsam ; no problems Goal: Would like to move password, group, and user data to ldap backend. Problem: I've read Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf and don't see exactly how to do this as the Howto addresses primarily the password backend. What I've done so far: 1) Created the openldap bdb and the dc=domain,dc=com base and the admin with password. 2) Run
