Traceroute
How do I allow traceroute to reach my server? Pings work fine but traceroute stops at the last hop before my server. If I shut off the firewall it reaches it fine. Dedicated Servers
Hi, A little bit off topic here, but I was wondering if anybody knows about a good dedicate server provider, that offers CentOS (but ofcourse) as a os choice, and that is very reliable. I am using SuperbServer, but as of this moment 2007/03/19 1406 America/NewYork time, my server is down do to a power outage at one of their facilities in VA. This is the second outage in less that 5 months.

Database design, working but looking for better ways
Rails 3.1.3 Hi. I have designed the database used for my travel plan application. You should be able to look at the diagram in the link below, hopefully. https://cacoo.com/diagrams/biDSyxh8yzk2kIeg ("belongs_to" is omitted since it''s obvious) Basically, the application can list the destinations from a choice of the departure. Not mention that the departure_id (integer) and

Questions on factors in regression analysis
I got two questions on factors in regression: Q1. In a table, there a few categorical/factor variables, a few numerical variables and the response variable is numeric. Some factors are important but others not. How to determine which categorical variables are significant to the response variable? Q2. As we knew, lm can deal with categorical variables. I thought, when there is a categorical

Hitting assertion failure related to vectorization + instcombine
Hi folks, I'm hitting the below assertion failure when compiling this small piece of C code (repro.c, attached). My command line is: bin/clang --target=aarch64-linux-gnu -c -O2 repro.c clang is built from top of trunk as of this morning. It only happens at -O2, and it doesn't happen with the default target (x86_64). I tried to reproduce using just 'llc -O2' but didn't

Descriptive Stats from Data Frame
I don't find how to do what I need to do in Dalgaard or 'R Cookbook', so I'm asking here. I have a data frame with water chemistry data and I want to start exploring these data. There are three factors (site, date, chemical) associated with each measurement. The data frame looks like this: > summary(chemdata) site_id.sample_date.param.quant

DTMF suddenly stopped working on SIP channel

Nothing gets registered in the CDR or on the console in verbose level 10, it just times out. I haven't changed anything on my part and can't get through to Viatalk tech support to ask them

Gusto.com Rails Site
Hello - I wanted to announce a very large web application that was built with Ruby on Rails and runs the site Gusto! http://www.gusto.com/ . It was deployed yesterday in a little over 4 months of development with 3 developers. The origins of the site were being developed in Java using Hibernate + Tapestry and the decision was made to port the 100+ table model to Rails to see if there were
